Krashen’s five hypotheses provide insights into language acquisition, but his second hypothesis, the Natural Order, particularly piques my interest. It suggests that learners acquire grammatical structures in a predictable order; it's basically natural or innate, regardless of teaching methods, which makes the process of language acquisition even more intriguing. Quirante, Jastine Angela F. OBTEC I-16 Because it contains the actual idea for a document, focusing through the narrower thoughts from broad ideas is frequently utilized. A more general text could be deceptive about its intended meaning if it were directed at a reader. I learned a lot from this video that it is important to discuss the most specific aspects of the texts rather than using more general terms. I'm grateful.

Upon rewatching the video, I have learned new things once more. Audio-lingualism being based on behaviorism definitely makes a lot of sense since a lot of learning comes from interacting with others who speak the language, as interaction makes way for plenty of processing and trials-and-errors. It's why people prefer to get some real-life experience for a lot of other things, like for testing out new skills that they've learned. It's very interesting to think about and it gives me plenty of ideas for how I'll teach the language once I become an actual English teacher. MARIE ASHLEY P. MAGSOMBOL BEE II-1

This video explained Componential Analysis of Meaning (CAM) in a clear and concise manner. As shown in the example, through the table, we can see which features are shared by the lexemes, as represented by the plus sign (+). However, they also have contrasting features, as represented by the minus sign (-). At first glance, it might seem that they are all the same, but through CAM, we can assess their similarities and differences in a comprehensive way. Thank you so much, Prof! Communication is such an important skill for a learner to develop. The teacher's role serves as the main pillar on how they develop this ability. However the learning and teaching aspect is not only limited to the technicalities of the communication itself but also its social contexts. The Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach enhances the language competency of the learners through learner interactions. It's an engaging outlook when it comes to communicative tasks way beyond the classroom limitations. This teaches, not only improvement by communication, but also its importance. This presentation explained it to me pretty well - as audio-lingualism depicts a method to emphasize the grammatical, phonological, and repetitive structure. It demonstrates learning from behaviors of speaking and listening. The main example is the learners' pronunciation and how they adapt corrections to their mistakes. REYES, Sheridine Faith T. Studying semantics is interesting! Componential analysis of meaning can help on writing definitions. Because componential analysis of meaning separates lexemes according to their shared and contrastive features. The genus and differentiae, on the other hand, are the two components of the definition. Differentiae is the quality that distinguishes a word from other members of the same class, whereas genus is the overall class to which the word belongs. The componential analysis of meaning that Sir Andy demonstrated in the video was used to identify both of these. CORPIN, ANGELA A. BEE II-3 A.Y. 2024-2025

Torio, Jerwin Roi B. BEE II-3 I really find it interesting how the Componential Analysis of Meaning (CAM) can help us create a definition comprehensively, with the shared features we can find the similarities of lexemes, while on the other hand diagnostic features helps us differentiate lexemes from one another, therefore allowing us to come up with a clear definition out of the features with enough distinction to set them apart so we don't confuse certain words from one another.
