Great interview! I love your relaxed style, Cleona. I’m in a very different place than Scott but everything he shared really resonated with my own spiritual journey. It was helpful when he shared that he has plenty of money now but he could keep chasing it like most people would and chooses not to. Just because I don’t have excess now also doesn’t mean I need to concern myself with chasing it.

Nice to see your channel too-keep up your good work:). Glad it resonated...I really like his Substack and Linkedin posts too. Interesting to bring consciousness & business together. Yes, the chasing is real and does. not necessarily have a correlation with needs...

This is strange specially the second tip (clinging, attachment), similar to prosperity gospel. We are not good or bad for wanting to ensure our financial security, but Buddha's teachings were not about accumulating and protecting wealth, he was concerned with the suffering caused by craving and clinging to impermanent states (youth, pleasure, life itself) and things (possessions, money), which are dukkha, "unsatisfactory," "incapable of satisfying" and painful. I have read the Buddha was a prince that renounced all his possession and status to live as a wandering ascetic. He eventually taught the Middle Way. Great spiritual guide to learn to always live in abundance, awe and appreciation regardless of circumstances because nothing is yours (impermanence), not a financial planner.

Thank you for this insightful share. So true our assumption that we don't use 'non-violent communication', can be such a deterrent in how we show up in the world. Ahimsa=Intense Love is so befitting. Dr. Marshall Rosenberg has truly left a legacy. Grateful we still have access to his teachings.

This sounds a bit like IFS. Once we create a bit of distance from the part of us that has a disempowering story about money, we then try to channel a state of compassionate curiosity towards the disempowered part. We try to understand why it is carrying such a painful and heavy burden. It's a beautiful process of learning to connect with our disempowered part rather than to be unconsciously run by it .... but in the process we never ever disrespect this part. We never "gaslight" it ... we work on the premise that it has good reasons for having the beliefs it does.

Yes, love it. All parts are welcome.

She needs to be talking to Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and the rest of the oligarchs. The tax laws are written so they get more payoff than is granted to help the poor, who are way more hard-working than they are thought of. They need to be either giving more money to the government-yeah, I know she claimed the Buddha said not to be giving your money to the rulers -or helping people who need it to improve their lot. Or paying workers better. I think she should have been talking much earlier about Dave Ramsey steps. So until you get those things cleared away, I don’t think you should be giving away any windfalls.
