I been wanting one in 204 Ruger for years but haven’t been able to find one new. I finally found one and they want 1399 for it !!! Good grief!! A new 223 is 1k at buds gun shop so I dunno why the 204 is so much more. I just can’t make myself pay that much 😢 So hard to find a classic walnut stock rifle like these nowadays. Ruger didn’t make them for awhile but they are back now but boy are they expensive

I have a pair of Ruger Blackhawks 41 mag and a marlin 1894 41 mag the 44 has nothing close to the 41 I've killed tons of deer with it and hogs recoil is nothing and now there's plenty of different ammo years ago all we had was 175 gr Winchester silver tips

When I got mine a few years ago, it took me 7 or 8 months. I had several dealers watching it for me and out of the blue, got a call they had 5 in the dealer channel and they ordered immediately before I even paid. The other 4 sold within 10 minutes and the dealer channel was empty that quick. Very high demand and many watching for it I guess.

If you plan on reloading your 450 brass, check the primer size before you buy factory stuff from Hornady. They quietly changed to large rifle primers without telling anyone. Makes a difference if you buy them with a bunch of small rifle primers in your closet. They don't mark the box so you have to open it up in the store. They are 2 bucks a round where I live.

My first rifle was a 270 win in the Ruger M77, Loved it, but what I dont get is why Ruger did not make the red but pad a little thicker but yet insist on using the hard relic? I mean yeah nostalgia and everything I get that but my shoulder dont. There are many good accurate rifles out there that are at or below the price of a Ruger, say a Tikka, T3X, CVA cascade, Savage hunter.. However if I were to buy this gun it would be because it looks to be a tough dependable long lasting rifle that would be a great rifle to pass down, if taken care of.
@johnnapolitano7443Ай бұрын
What is the eye relief on that scope? It looks too far away from your eye to give an accurate view. My only complaint about my Rossi 92 is that I can't use a magnifying scope because the pic rail ends too far away and eye relief that long is impossible to find.

Hey man, hope you (or anyone out there) can help me. Just bought a Ruger 77/44 stainless and can't seem to get it to group worth a damn. Tried Hornady 225 & 300 grain, and it's all over the damn place. Brought it home, cleaned it up, put a 3x9x40 Nikon on it, ordered some new ammo (Fusion, Hornady, Federal) and going to try it again. Can you tell me, what's the best hunting ammo to use and where do you zero it, 50 yards, 100 yds? I live in Wyoming, so generally a long flat rifle is the deal here 270, 7mag, 300 win so this is all new to me. I want to shoot whitetail along a river bottoms this fall, and possibly a cow elk, so any recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! 50 to 100 yards is all i need, so again any suggestions would be helpful. Best ammo, grain, and distance to zero? Thanks brother, love the video!

Keep it at your shoulder when working the lever so it doesn't eject cases in your face. There's no reason to lower it to lever the next round.

I have a Rossi 92 .357 that I use extensively. Originally bought it so I only have to buy one type of ammo. (My personal carry weapon is a Ruger Blackhawk.) I have fired both .357 and .38 through my Rossi and it performs well, as long as you're not trying to reach out past about 100 yards. Has been completely reliable and I've taken wild hogs, javelina, and deer with it. Great brush gun, or heavy woods where your ranges are closer in.

I got this model as my first gun from my dad Christmas 1974, I still have it. I don't even remember how many rounds I put thru it ? Killed many a critter with it. Lived in Eureka Ca back then and bought .22 shells at Longs drug store 50 cents a box for 50 rds. 14 yrs old, walked across town or road my bike with it slung across my shoulder all the time, got stopped by police and Sheriff several times just to see what kind of gun I had nothing else. Sometimes rode the Greyhoind bus with it in a case to see my dad, never an issue. Those days are long gone !
