Thanks to your video, I exhausted my daily data of 2.5 GB at the beginning of the day itself trying to install this software (had no idea it'd be this big) and turns out it's not even free (don't think you mentioned it anywhere)!

Uh, having the "glossy" ad obscure the tutorial before it's done is suboptimal.

This is GIMP day 1 for me. I'm using Nick's Inkscape tutorials quite extensively for the past few years, and now it is time for GIMP.

hi, is there a way to create non-destructive layer like photoshop? Like when we want to adjust brightness to a layer, there is a brightness layer linked to the target layer, so we can go back to its last value if we need to adjust again in the future.

This program is fking ridiculously over complicated. Finding relevant, updated tutorials is not happening. I will happily pay for Photoshop after trying Gimp. And what is up with that name?

As I've recently had my older laptop OS changed to Kubuntu, I gained the GIMP program for image editing. I'd always wanted Photoshop but the price required pockets deeper than mine. As a newbie to GIMP, I really appreciated this video because it gave me knowledge I could immediately put to use. Well done, GIMP TUT! You just gained a new subscriber.

I’m looking for a designer who can show me a quick and efficient method for automatically centering and resizing product images within a canvas. The process should involve the following steps: 1. Upload an image onto the canvas. 2. Automatically recognize the object in the image and resize it so that it maintains a fixed distance (e.g., 25px) from both the top and bottom edges of the canvas. 3. Center the image horizontally on the canvas. 4. Save the resized and centered image. 5. Ideally, this process should be applicable to a batch of images (e.g., 500 images) to streamline workflow.

Hi, Yjin Lim here. I'm considering going back to using Windows after installing Linux Mint, but after watching this video tutorial on using GIMP-a method similar to Photoshop-it's awesome! Thank you, sir, and keep up the great work. Watching from the Philippines.

Jesus, this is far the worst UI for bitmap manipulation ever made... I'm trying GIMP every few years, and it's still a nightmare to work with... Even the basic things like this are hidden under some icons, instead of clicking on the object and dragging the edges/corners...

Yeah as stated I was looking for a good GIMP tutorial page but you seem to be using all kinds of other programs. I am just starting out back in photography again. I have a lower end camera due to my budget not letting me buy all the fancy stuff out there. My camera I use is a Cannon SX 20 IS that I picked up second hand for 95 dollars Canadian. Your pages focal point really does not focus on Gimp as much as it should so I will go find another page to get tutorials from sorry.
