I don't understand why everyone thinks the woman is struggling with schizophrenia. The intro to the video saying "If you have suicidal thoughts, tell someone." is a pretty big indicator that this story is on suicide. The 'Guest' represents suicidal thoughts, and the woman runs away from him, trying to escape those thoughts. The way the Guest gazes at her, not blinking and not breaking eye contact, represents how suicidal thoughts are extremely distinct and clear-cut from everything around her. The intense staring from the terrifying looking Guest is a metaphor for the intensity of the suicidal thoughts she has, and how frightening they are. When she cannot run any longer, she blinds and deafens herself in an attempt to block out the thoughts as a last resort. This is metaphorical for the way people block out or simply ignore their thoughts instead of addressing them and getting help. During the ending, she hears and sees the Guest once more, only this time he averts his gaze, perhaps signifying that the woman's suicidal thoughts have lessened to a certain extent. Whilst the Guest is still in the room with her, he is no longer staring at her, he is no longer distinct and terrifying. From the movement of the woman at the end, where she got closer to the Guest, it seems she began to understand why the he is there - moving closer to get a better look. This represents her healing process, as the thoughts are not as striking as they were before, and she is learning more about her thoughts by inspecting the Guest.

To be honest this movie make me cry😢
