That was a marathon drive. You did well to get through the traffic. 4 lanes bumper to bumper is not where you want to be. Always good to see the route you take. Very different to the UK. Enjoy your rest and thanks for the video.😊

Hi there Andy another great video mate, your getting some decent weather too ,unlike here in the UK. What are the speed limits over there, you seemed to be going really fast on the video😂😂(joking). Are the truck stops free and are you paid a night out allowance or is it built in to your wage. Are you paid weekly or monthly. Looking forward to the next instalment, soon I hope.
@sanganoutdoorsАй бұрын
Haha them rocket boosters make a big difference 🤣 We get paid per mile, however, at the end of the year drivers can claim tax back for staying out. I think it's around $30 per night, so you can imagine for a year it's quite a lot in a big chunk. Truck stops and rest areas are all free, plus when we fuel at loves truck stops, we get free coffee and showers!

Hello from the UK 👋 just found your KZbin via the Big Freight fb page as my husband has been offered a job with them 😊 How long was it till your family came out?

Hey nice to speak to you. Congratulations to your husband. I'm here on my own, I don't have kids or a partner, but I know others that have brought their families over and they did it pretty much straight away once they secured the license and had their job in place. Others are waiting 6 months to get "set up." Hope this answers your question.

@@sanganoutdoors ah brill, thank you for replying. That's good to know. How is it going for you? Were you being paid when you were training? Just working out money situation
@sanganoutdoorsАй бұрын
@@kirstinclarke1394 no we wasn't getting paid, so I saved up as much as I could. We did however get put up in a house, and had a company vehicle. This together with the driving course amounts to around $10000 that gets paid back to big freight once earning starts
