This is my son..he just don't know how much I love him and how proud of him I am..he is such a good son..daddy..and husband! But most of all I am so proud of his decision to follow God!

Nice- same trek I am looking to do 10/25- how were water sources along the way- know this was 4 months ago so things probably are different in October

@michaeldenner3957 grand gap no water... but just below where you head up the hill to the crossing of John Muir and Grand Gap there is an awesome campsite there on the right. I would stay there and day hike grand gap. The Grand loop isn't bad though. It's basically a big loop on top of the mountain. Here's my AllTrails link. Congrats on your journey and thank-you for your service. I also deal with my mental issues by staying active and outdoors. You are on the right path!!! So many people sit at home and watch the news, social media or whatever and just stew on it. The gym and the woods keep me going. I'm trying to inspire others to do the same but it's hard to get it. Keep it up!!!

It does lay a little flatter than a regular hammock, but I don’t see that much of a difference….

@70cimabue if you get your stabilizing straps down tight, that could help. I have since gone to a gathered end, and trust me, it is totally different.

It sure is. You can use this like a hammock or on the ground like a bivy tent. I used is as a hammock.

Thanks. Same here... I have friends and family who asks about my trips or gear that I use so I make videos about it. As long as it makes you happy is all that matters. I love the trips and like you the editing after them. I watch so many videos of backpacking that I always find different ideas to incorporate into my videos. I just picked up a drone to expand my videos. Now to learn how to use it!!!!

I just did this trip a few weeks ago. We started at Rock bridge and stopped at castle arch trailhead. Really beautiful area for backpacking fun
