Supposed to get the oil to temperature and let it drain down the excess, then replace fill plug. Leave the car on jack stands, press the brake, change the transmission P D etc a few times while it warms up. When it just dribbles out and the sensors say it's the right temp, then you replace the drain plug and you're done

@@Pleasurechest985 There is a drain bolt and a fill plug. Fill plug you need to take off using the 5mm Allen key when draining. Then replace when you fill the oil. You will know when the transmission is full when the oil drips out continuously.

I never worked on my car until i changed my engine filter and cabin filter because honda was trying to charge me 170.00 but i learned i could do it myself for 30.00, so now i am interested in working on my own 2017 Honda fit this was great to watch I have a question is the process same for the Rear Brakes ?

I would like to know if I can change the cabin filter without removing the glove box and just removing the side panel? Also on the 2021 Murano besides the clips that hold the side panel are there any screws or bolts?

@@lizs8864 there is screws along the bottom. There might be other ways to do it but you’ll need to make sure you remember how to reinstall the box.

Twin turbo with a 4 cylinder… blow the new spark plugs right out! 😂 Pro tip: probably a good idea to replace the coils at the same time to ensure maximum performance. They aren’t that expensive anyway. Easy preventative maintenance.

Yes you can same engine. Just make sure the engine is an automatic engine and your engine has VCM

Looks like a pretty good car to restore and have as a driver. It's pretty easy to get more HP out of the type 4 engines and in such a light car they scream! (handle well for auto-x.) Best wishes, sub'ed.

Cool! Keep going, once you get it rebuilt, you'll be happy with how it runs! I had a 2.0L 914 and it was a blast. (would love to get another one.) Into Beetles also. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

See if you can find knowledgeable VW guys, they should be able to help you get a decent amount of HP out of the engine without much extra expense since you're rebuilding anyway.

My battery light came on. Had tested and new alternator needed. Decided to replace myself as dealer and my regular mechanic charging, what I believe is, way too much to replace. Thanks for posting video.

Extra thin 14mm with 12 points. I already had a deep 14mm socket, but this one is thinner than usual. I got one at autozone. Need about 7 inches of extension, 2 3s and a 1 for the rear most

There no way I even removed the bolt entirely and still no where close to fitting through there and everyone else says to pull radiator forward to remove and that's how I was able to do it
