How on earth can you take these majestic blue gropers!? They need to be left so they CAN grow old and big. This should be illegal. Our natural habitat is being destroyed and our fish over fished. We don't need them for a 5min taste, fix it is so cruel!

I would say you are spot on with the theory about the bream and the fishing net, many moons ago i also worked on trawlers and have seen the same thing.

Hi Alex, awesome video, just a couple questions as a fisho starting to get into snapper fishing. I've noticed that in many of your videos you distance cast with bait but was surprised to see that you can also catch em on plastics up closer? When do you choose to distance cast and when do you use soft plastics or is that a matter of trying out different things? Would you ever distance cast in the spot in the video or is it more suited for up close plastics?

That is GOLD Alex ! I have only once ever seen a cuttle that big - scuba diving at White Pointer Rocks, seaward side of Bowen Island, Jervis Bay. A freakin' HUGE cuttle was hanging out in a cave at 24 m - hung out with him for a while - amazing critters. I also dove the breeding aggregation at Point Lowly / Stony Point near Whyalla one winter. Everyone should check that out once in their lives. Cheers, Gav
