Man I just remember so many of these by playing so many hours as Polynesia. I love the seafaring Civs in both Civ V and VI, but Polynesia is a definite favourite of mine in both Civ V and VI.

I did it once nuked a AI player. Three of his cites were left on an island. I leveled the whole Island, and after I did so this piece of music set in. I felt terribly guilt, so much so that I loaded a save game from a round before, and brought them with conventinal weapons to a defeat. - I never used nukes before that, and I never used them since.

It confuses me that this version doesn't go on for like ten more seconds and reach the crescendo.

“We - “ the President’s voice wavered. Whether it was the horrible signal or the quivering in his voice, it was impossible to say. “won…”. The audio engineer came out of the office and sharply inhaled the stiff, sterile air around him. “The signal has not pinged once, Mister President.” The President’s eyebrows furled. His shoulders slowly hunched. His hands gripped the lectern. His head lowered in utter defeat. “My god… what have we done…”

This song really stood out to me when it played right after I accidentally caused some nuclear fallout on an allies terrain.

This track makes me think about 1453. Konstantios XI, the last Roman Emperor dying fighting for his city even though he knows it's the end after hundreds and hundreds of years of decline from the highest possible highs.

Civ V's soundtrack is really pleasant and often moving, but my problem with it is that most of it is modern, orchestral music and usually doesn't sound authentic to the time period that it is depicting.
@Zhohan-12 күн бұрын
Fair criticism, but I find classical timeless.
@TheAsharedhett12 күн бұрын
@@Zhohan- Yeah, it's really good! I just prefer the historical flavor trying to be true to the time period. I listen to Civ V music occasionally, but I much prefer IV as a game
