Just bought a model Y for this year I live in LA area and got a full ceramic tint all windows and PPF all for 5900. 5k for PPF and 900 for the tint

Another detailer gimmick bits the dust.

Paint correction is for adhesive purposes not for the visual outcome. PPF over non corrected area then correct a spot. Wait a week and remove both pieces. Watch which one takes the longest to remove!

Yeah just like the UV glasses, you roll your windows up and they go clear again. They need that UV.

I think this thing is no joke a hypercar… it easily does over 215-225… stupid numbers for it to be considered anything less

Got pulled over by the same cop twice for window tint and received a ticket each time. I’ve had multiple other cops have no problem except for this one guy.

Windows have a UV protect in them so you are not getting all of the UV from sun..

I bought my car from the dealer with 5% tint on all windows and none on the windshield. It's a luxury sedan so i think i get a pass for some reason as I drive all over the state with no problems. I think most people identify it as a limo i guess lol.

all the tests you did were irrelevant. All you had to do was stick a thermometer in em, and not open the doors.. I dont care about surface temps, i care about ambient air temps.

I bought a new car about a month ago and had never heard of PPF until my brother mentioned it, so I decided to research it. Buying it is as stressful as buying a car because it's a negotiation game with the people that sell it. It was, $3600-6K for full PPF or you could elect to do front half for around $1600-1800, back half ceramic was $600-800 and ceramic tinting was another $600-800. In my research on PPF, not everything self-heals, and bugs are just as big a problem for PPF as they are for paint. So your original paint will stay intact longer, but that's only because the PPF takes the damage, which will show wear over time and will have to be replaced. PPF is about vanity which is what's said in this video in not so many words, it's not for Point A to B people buying Honda Civics or Toyota Rav4s for normal everyday driving which are the vast majority of people it's for a very small minority that want to keep the original paint as intact as possible.

You can't tell the difference between this and real carbon fiber? You must not have ever seen real carbon before. I know a few people have this in my they all say the same thing.... you can't tell the difference from real carbon. Then i put a real piece of carbon on their vinyl hood or roof. It looks nothing like real carbon fiber when it's side by side, not even close. The little triangles in the vinyl are way too small compared to the real standard twill weave carbon fiber. Only people who have never owned real carbon fiber will believe this looks like real carbon, lol And for the price!!!?!?!?! NO WAY😂😂😂😂

I had a 2022 Polestar P2 that I had fully wrapped in 3M film - highly recommend it. It was worth it for a car that I wanted to keep for a very long time. Only thing people should know about 3M film is that insurance will typically try to not cover it. My car was totaled by another driver, their fault, and when I went through GEICO to discuss the total loss value, they didn’t want to compensate me at all for the 3M wrap… That wrap cost $6000 and even though it was the fault of the other party they just left me holding the bag and didn’t give me anything. Insurance companies suck… be wary of the insurance you get and what it covers.

Yes, but it would likely need to be applied to the exterior of the windshield so the UV rays could trigger the transition. Maybe the silver bullet is a combo product with windshield protection film?!?
