This is the first time I've seen this channel, and what i learned was, this shop didn't know that car windshields are UV resistant, and that film needed to be installed on the outside for it to have any chance of working ( as they clearly said ). Or maybe, they need to make a video and make this BS video. Either way i was not impressed.

Great info! Thank you! At the higher range in pricing, wouldnt you recommend someone to paint their vehicles if the vinyl/ppf exceeds $8,000?

If I have a black car that was freshly painted and it shows swirl marks and light scratches everywhere would ppf film help hide those?
@alvinanthel27572 күн бұрын
i only have one question that i need clarification on - you mention that if the car with PPF is out in the sun everyday for years, then it becomes much harder to remove PPF. What if that's the only option? No garage. If i leave it out in the sun, then is it a waste to spend the money getting the PPF?
@BlackoutTinting2 күн бұрын
I think it depends on where you're located - but if you go with a reputable film, it is still covered under warranty. I honestly think it is still worth it. Arizona and florida are the only places in my opinion it would be accelerated.

@@BlackoutTinting i am in Texas. I plan to keep my new car as long as I possibly can. So once the 10 year warranty runs out, and it needs to be replaced, then I am wondering if there will be any trouble when that time comes. or whether it will be something manageable. When you say the removal will be harder, then that doesn't mean that there will be some underlying cosmetic damage to the paint, does it?? Like it will take longer to remove, but safe removal is still possible?? And a new PPF can still be applied just as nicely as before?? Thanks for replying
@BlackoutTinting2 күн бұрын
@alvinanthel2757 safe removel is usually still possible, a quick polish on the paint and new film usually works! Oldest t i have personally removed and replaced was 9 years on an infiniti. Paint looked great.
@alvinanthel27572 күн бұрын
@@BlackoutTinting then, is it also possible for the PPF to last much longer than 10 years? Like, it shouldn't be replaced for no reason just because 10 years have past, if it is still holding up well? Or is around 10 years the limit before PPF starts to have issues?
@BlackoutTinting2 күн бұрын
@alvinanthel2757 the manufacturers recommend doing it anyhow for "clean removability". Beyond the warranty period there's a chance it starts to bond more aggressively and could be near impossible to remove. We can attest to that, but also any of the film we have removed thats 15 years old is 15 year old technology so it's tough to say what todays films do in 12 or 15 years.

A sidenote for the viewers: Just because someone doesn’t have PPF on their vehicle doesn’t mean they care less about their car compared to someone who does. As mentioned in the video, PPF is amazing for protection and it truly works, but the cost can be significant. In many cases, exploring other paint protection options like ceramic coatings might be a better compromise. While ceramic coatings won’t offer the same level of protection as PPF, they provide a solid middle ground between price and performance. Great job on the video-very informative!

Hey, Your videos are amazing. I really like it. You are doing great on KZbin. But I saw that the engagement on your channel is very low. Most of the videos have received little views. Do you know why your channel's engagement is not increasing? Where is the main problem?
I can't tell the difference between the UV protective tint and no tint at all with the vehicle temp/alleged UV protection. It's a waste of money. I also feel cheated going with the legal tint where I live. It's still very much clear. But they'll ticket you and make you pull it off.

@BlackoutTinting : How hydrophobic is this window film? Can you apply things like RainX to keep from needing to use the windshield wipers? When you put a film on your windshield you don’t want to use the wipers as they will scratch up the window film.

@@BlackoutTintingCutco knives are cheap “stamped” 440A knives, they are likely the worst “premium” knives in the industry lol, it’s like saying Bose makes premium speakers. You mostly pay for their marketing. There are Japanese hand made VG10 knives that are way cheaper and better. That being said, all my cars are PPF wrapped. Also, I used to sell cutco in HS, I’m an avid cooking / pocket knife collector, so just trust me on this lol.

Some people want to just pay for the American made, lifetime warranty, and free sharpening. Plus a lot of the people that buy them could care less other than those boxes being checked. That’s all they need.
@sganet_7 күн бұрын
@@BlackoutTinting Metallurgy is unbiased, you saying you rather pay premium for something that’s objectively inferior makes no sense at all. How about I give you the numbers. Cutco knives are soft with avg HRC are in the mid 50s, while true VG10 and other Japanese made chef knives HRC are in the low to mid 60s. That’s like saying, you rather pay similar or more money for a PPF that’s made in America, even if it turns yellow after a year and has no self healing properties. There’s no logic on this lol. And country of where it’s made in has nothing to do with what is actually the best for the money, when it comes to non-chef knives, America makes some of the best pocket and outdoor knives, so it just happens that Japan currently makes the best chef knives.
