-1 Minute - “Stacking Bricks” or 1-2 👊 Keep hands disciplined, always back to face and make sure elbows don’t flare out when punching -1 minute - Skip knees (Hit-Hit variation) When throwing skip knees, keep the foot pointed. Hit-hit variation means the back foot does not touch the ground when switching knees -1 minute - Double Kicks (target low or bottom of bag)🦵 Kicking the bottom of the bag to work on shin conditioning, as well as cardio. Since the filling of the bag settles at the bottom due to overall use and gravity, it makes the bag denser and tougher at the bottom Subscribe for more 🙏

This "Generator" builds comfort with defenses and timing. As you get more comfortable, your partner can throw in broken rhythm, fakes, feints, footwork and range changes to add more layers to the drill. Eventually bringing it up to a light sparring type of energy with random feeds. This type of training is crucial in developing a student’s techniques under pressure, to make techniques more intuitive. -Coach Daniel Subscribe for more tips! 🙏

Coach Erik has been preparing for his black belt test this past year… we caught a clip of him drilling through a few of his 15 go-to submissions from Kesa Gatame. Our BJJ students start with our basic curriculum at a white belt level, but as they progress through their belts, our goal is to help them build a repertoire of 15 techniques at black belt from each position. They pour thousands of repetitions into those go-to techniques so it can be performed under pressure through muscle memory. The goal is not to memorize a bunch of different techniques though, they should be techniques you can call on during free rolling. Like and subscribe for more 🥋

🧹 The sweep drill we show in the clip is a training method we use to help build timing and understanding the rhythm and balance of our partners. Developing that sense of timing takes a lot of reps and time in the clinch. The clinch or plumb in Muay Thai is an important skill to develop as fighters get into close range. Learning partner sensitivity, balance points, timing for strikes and sweeps in clinching distance is key for maintaining control of the momentum when things get too close in a match. Hits 3 modalities! 1️⃣ Conditioning 👈 2️⃣ Technique 👈 3️⃣ Application 👈 4️⃣ Strategy 5️⃣ Mindset This intermediate variation of our “See it, hit it” pad holding drill gives both the boxer and pad holder space to make decisions on what strike they throw. Adding that extra layer of unpredictability forces the pad holder and boxer to pay attention to each other’s body language to see what comes next so the can react accordingly. This step is extremely important to develop a fighter’s ability to read and react to their opponent and benefits both the boxer and pad holder. Subscribe for more 🤙

Where can I find the tutorial of how your shifting in this video? I was taught to shift to the right from an orthodox stance I need to step with my right foot first into a southpaw position and then twist to my body and end up back in orthodox but it looks like your shifting differently and skipping the step which is quicker.

Generating speed and power with the Hook! Proper body mechanics and form developed through repetition - bag drills help with power and contact while refining technique. Watch Coach Daniel demonstrating a boxing style hook from a loaded position and see if you can notice these 3 main points: 1) Whole body connection, focus on rotating shoulders and hips. Feeling the power from your feet and shifting weight into the punch. 2) Resetting back to proper stance and guard position after every rep. 3) Relax until contact. The moment the hook lands is when we want to have tension, but releasing it immediately to conserve energy and increase speed. Setting up the hook with pivots, head movement, fakes/feints and other punches come once a foundation of the movement is set. This is step one! Gracias. Saludos cordiales

Flip a coin… or toss a ball (for a better visual 😄) How many kicks can you get?💨🦵 One of our main influences, Ajarn Chai Sirisute, had a fun challenge to see how many kicks you could get with a drop of a coin. We did our own variation of the challenge with tossing a ball about 8 ft, the height of the bag support beams. Coach Daniel scraped by with 4 kicks in under 2 seconds, how many can you do? Working number 1️⃣ (Conditioning) of our 5️⃣ training modalities! Conditioning drills are an important piece to improve endurance and learn how to turn up the intensity with your techniques while keeping the technique clean. Doing combos and techniques (as shown in the reel) with shadowboxing, bag work and pads all give the boxer a sense of how to perform the techniques in different environments, simulating what would happen in application. Shadowboxing - Training without physical feedback from pads, bags or another person, learning how to properly recover and reset after every strike. Very important to conserve energy since you are bound to miss strikes when sparring. Pads/bag work - 3 minute round of this combo with power and intensity, getting feedback from hitting the pads/bag. Learning to push through mental barriers when you are tired. Using our 30-50-80-100% rule (we’ll go over in another post). Coach Stephen demonstrating the combo ending with a 3x jab. 1️⃣ Conditioning 2️⃣ Technique 3️⃣ Application 4️⃣ Strategy 5️⃣ Mindset Subscribe for more 👍

Working number 1️⃣ & 2️⃣ of our 5️⃣ training modalities. 1️⃣ Conditioning 2️⃣ Technique 3️⃣ Application 4️⃣ Strategy 5️⃣ Mindset “See it and hit it” on the Thai pads is a great drill to develop timing, reaction, proper technique and conditioning through random callouts from the pad holder. As you become more comfortable with your pad holders, the drill becomes more fluid as the boxer can free flow their strikes with rhythm and timing. Giving them full autonomy of what strikes thrown while the pad holder responds to their strikes. This ultimately trains both people on their reaction and timing. A great example of this is Jonathan Haggerty and his Coach, Christian Knowles. Coach Daniel and Coach Brady demonstrating the drill. Subscribe to join our community 🤙
