Juste une précision pour les français sur le contexte historique de cette guerre. Le film se situe en 1757, et dit la bande annonce, il s'agit de la 3ème année de guerre. Quelle guerre ? Point d'interrogation pour les français, de moins en moins férus d'histoire. 1757, on en déduit que le film se situe pendant la "guerre de la Conquête (1754-1760)". C'est le nom donné au Québec au théâtre militaire nord-américain AVANT et PENDANT la "guerre de Sept Ans" (1756-1763). Aux États-Unis, on désigne fréquemment ce conflit sous l'appellation de French and Indian War (« guerre contre les Français et les Indiens »). Mais les français quant à eux, connaissent surtout la "guerre de sept ans", conduite par le roi Louis XV, parce qu'elle a été un véritable désastre pour la France (et pour les canadiens français) en terme de territoires perdus. C'est un conflit majeur de l'histoire de l'Europe, le premier qui puisse être qualifié de « guerre mondiale ». Elle concerne en effet les grandes puissances européennes de cette époque, regroupées en deux systèmes d'alliance antagonistes, et a lieu sur des théâtres d'opérations situés sur plusieurs continents, notamment en Europe, en Amérique du Nord et en Inde. The last of Mohicans is a very Marveless movie. I have been watching this for like 20 years. like hundred of times. I haven`t been bored yet. So far so good.:) I trully recomend it.:) ))
