I love Roy. At 1972, he still has that youthful soft innocent yet powerful voice when he wants it. After his heart attack in 1978 his voice no longer had that youthfulness (who would after heart attacks). But his voice was still soft & gentle. And powerful when he needed it.

He was way older than the Wilburys. Didnt matter to them. They loved him. As we all do. The Traveling Wilburys is the best 2 albums/cds. Ever. Every song was gold.

Dammit man! Roy was looking hip and cute with his longer hair in a ponytail! I was in my 20s when he died and I remember how popular he was again in the 80s & he was just getting started. I wasn't tuned in to him at the time & now I can't get enough of him. He was immensely talented and I don't care what anybody says, I think he was handsome and had his own sex appeal. ❤😍

I was born in the late 80s and I didn’t really know about Roy Orbison (except for the ‘Pretty Woman’ song) until I developed an interest in David Lynch’s movies. And now I listen to Roy every day. What an extraordinary artist and man ❤

My brother and his wife saw Roy’s last show on December 4th 1988 in Highland Heights, Ohio, which is a suburb of Cleveland. They met him after the show at Roy’s tour bus, and he said Roy did appear very tired. However, he sat on the steps of the bus and signed autographs for the fans. My brother spoke to him, and he said Roy was very cordial. It was a memory he cherished. This show actually was recorded and aired on December 7th, 1987, not 1988.

I felt fortunate to be able to see Roy at a concert in August of 1988. It was so sad when he passed away a few months later. It was probably the best concert I ever attended and I have been to quite a few. I still listen to him in 2024.
