I believe Ginger Rogers was so versatile and talented in both musicals and serious roles. She could do anything and was so determined to do a great job in all her films. I sure miss her because she was terrific. I wished she had a daughter to pass down her talented dance routines and singing in order to be the second Ginger Rogers. I know that is impossible but one never knows. Thank you, Ginger, for your wonderful films which leaves me missing you still. RIP Ginger Rogers

@@JohnnieAshton Ginger Rogers didn't have red hair despite her name. Her real name was Virginia and apparently her niece (I think) could not pronounce it properly and it came out as Ginger!

She must've done this twice on the show. The one I just saw on TV she was dressed like Dolly. So it was a Donna Fargo/Tammy Wynette/Dolly parody!!! Genius!!!!! Thanks to whoever posted this!!

They usually taped both the dress rehearsal and the final performance, to give them coverage in case something went wrong. The Dolly version sounds awesome!

I believe this was from a special filmed at the Grand Ole Opry in 1979. There are a ton of really great parody songs on it. I just watched it on the Carol Burnett channel on Freevee.
