Such fun to find your podcast, & so enjoyed the W G gathering vlog, it looked like a fabulous festival. Mostly I enjoy gazing in awe at the creations either on stalls or garments people are wearing, & I get to buy yarn! Xx

Your enthusiasm is so fun to watch. Thank you for taking us to The Wooly Good Gathering. There are not many festivals close to me so it is a delight to attend vicariously. The people are the joy of attending. Thank you!!

Loved your vlog and being able to see the Wooly Good Gathering. My favourite thing about going to a yarn gathering is simply being around like-minded people who understand my joy of yarn crafts, and the inspiration provided by the yarns and samples from all the dyers. Oh, and squishing lots of yarn too of course 🙂

Favourite part of yarn shows is connecting with likeminded yarn folk and friends… and for the ones I can’t attend it’s vlogs like this so I can live vicariously through you! Gathering

I have to echo what everyone else has been saying. The best thing about a yarn show or any other craft gathering is the people! I have met so many wonderful people over the years,all you lovely podcasts who I feel I know! I di t think there's anyone I've ever met who doesn't at least take a few minutes to talk to you about their products and it makes you feel so special! Thanks Sophie for another great insight into this wonderful gathering of like minded people. I always watch you . That's the advantage of being top of my subscription list 😀 best wishes Karen x

It was lovely to meet you on the Friday! I even spotted me in your footage but I was easy to spot in my wheelchair. More too you all for doing the full weekend, I was knackered after just the Friday during the day. Will you be coming up for School of Yarn? Absolutely my favourite thing about any craft gathering is meeting other yarny people, podcasters, designers and making new yarny friends.

Ooh, I love yarn, especially nice free yarn😁. My favourite thing about yarn gartherings is Everything… but especially meeting with other people who really get it. People who aren’t yarnies just don’t get the thrill of squishy goodness.

It was lovely to see you this weekend, I'm glad you got home safely. I wish I'd noticed that Woolchemist had the merino/linen blend, I was looking for summer blends but I barely got into her stall as it was. (No drawing for me, I couldn't do the yarn justice and I already have the stitch markers)

So nice to have found this podcast and a lovely surprise to be mentioned, thank you so much for the shout out and I’m delighted that you love your linen blend Superbloom! Both that colourway and that base have a very special place in my heart, I hope you’ll love creating with it! I’ll leave the opportunity to win to the others and won’t use the keyword but I will say that my favorite part of yarn shows as a vendor is meeting all you lovely people, catching up with old friends and making new ones! ❤

Lovely behind the scenes Sophie, you also got some footage of the lady wearing the eastern jewels blanket as a cardigan too which I really should've got a photograph of. I spotted the stitch markers on Sunday but by that point had run out of money lol. A nice respectable haul and lovely to see some of your classes too x

Lovely to see you again Sophie, watched a little while back but only just getting around to commenting. I also try and keep my working blanket yarn separate to the rest of the yarn required, just makes me less stressed about how much still needs to be done. Loving the stripey socks, and the idea of turning them into mitts. And those Milet mitts are fabulous! The Westknit projects look great and are going to make you so relieved when they're finished too! Awww bye Sprinkle! Nifty is so close to being finished too, going to look so cute! We do love the Heidibears patterns and that turtle is going to be soooooo cute, I really must make more than just the Hippo and Sheep though but the ones I have are huge, I did think about making a bear instead of another Hippo but don't actually have the pattern for it so maybe later in the year once I'm settled. You also inspired me to start the Cande sweater so I swatched but other projects took over, wondering if it's possible to crochet it in a week but highly doubtful with work in the way haha. That granny square blanket is amazing, so much fun!!! I've just packed my Sophie ready for the move and I want to finish it for my new craft room. I love the idea of turning some of your larger WIPs into cushions too, thats's a super fun way of showing off different stitches and pattern too.

Sophie looks amazing as it is!! If you're fed up with working on it, just stop. Otherwise you'll end up hating it and wasting all the lovely work you've done so far!
@julie18079 ай бұрын
Good choice to just stop the Sophie. It’s gorgeous, but sounds like working on it will be drudgery for you. The shape/size seems quite useable right now (I think of the Habitation Throw which is round in comparison).
@ASpringSnowflakeSophie9 ай бұрын
That’s a really good comparison!

Love the Sophie I’d say just stop if you aren’t loving the process anymore. The crochet north easterly is fab, I’d love to be able to do one of those I wouldn’t frog it. Great to see I’m not the only one that loses interest once they hit a certain point.
@julie18079 ай бұрын
@@ASpringSnowflakeSophie you probably figured this out, but I meant the Anthology throw (round) not the Habitation throw.

My favourite advent tradition is making a 1st December hamper for my parents. This year, they had a Christmas Emma Bridgewater mug each, a 1920's style advent calendar, Christmas tea, Christmas biscuits, wax melts and an advent embroidery kit for my Mum 💕 I'm also enjoying doing Vlogmas this year for the first time. And yes, I do clean before the cleaner comes 😂 I thought it was just me!

Advent tradition. My parents come to my house to “help me decorate the tree”. This translates to them enjoying a glass of mulled wine, then Dad falls asleep in a chair and Mum makes helpful comments such as “more to the left” etc while I do the actual tree decorating. Mum’s comments may be more helpful if I didn’t have to stop and work out left and right as it’s something I’ve never been able to keep straight. 😂
