Thank you for this video, Estie! I took design labs foundations course a couple of years ago, but couldn't afford the bootcamp. I had to teach myself and I am still learning to this day. I often put my studies behind because I felt anxious and had an overwhelming feeling of imposter syndrome. Watching this video gave me motivation to start working on my portfolio and finish by the end of this year! I loved watching your videos back then, I'm glad you are back :))

Hi Estie! I started following you in 2020 when I began my online UX course. Along the way, I too had moments of feeling lost and dealt with intense anxiety. Since then, I’ve gone from freelancing to becoming a Junior Product Designer, and now a Senior UI/UX designer. It’s been a journey, but I’m grateful to have made it into the UX world. I guess we made it? Haha

I also did Designlab during the pandemic as well. It was definitely a weird time to transition but I am glad everything worked out for you :) Its crazy to see how we've grown over the years. I've been able to be a Senior Product Designer and help mentor other Designlab students.

Working on my design BA thesis and so far my mentors have been a torture. Leaving me even more confused and sad after every feedback. They kept on insisting their ideas on me, but at the end I have to remind myself that I will be the one who will defend this thesis. They won't be there. I feel like one mentor would have been fine but 8 is too much 🥲
