Very nice rice 🍚 Looked fluffy and not sticky at all. I will definitely be trying that wrapping it and flipping it over to steam for some time process, as that is entirely new to me. Thanks! I also use parchment paper in my wood fire cooking and baking with great success. I found this video looking for Firebox cooking videos, and see a couple friends of Firebox 👍

@@rodoutdoors I really appreciate your production style and content, especially the videos that pertain to Henry Coe. In recent weeks I have become preoccupied almost obsessed with all things Diablo Mts. for various reasons. Mostly because I realized that I've looked at them literally every day for nearly 58 years, spent plenty of time experiencing different sections of them periodically throughout my life, and I realized that they are vast, hugely varied ecologically, and largely unexplored and uninhabited. Of late I've taken to perusing them extensively on Google maps and your videos add beautiful scenery and intelligent perspectives to my two dimensional wanderings and for that and more I feel I owe you a debt of gratitude. I salute your courage for camping in such absolute solitude mister. Carry on my good fellow.✌️

I believe that fish was a small Mola mola; an Ocean Sunfish, I believe they feed lots on squid; lay on there sides to absorb sunlight and warm up. Flesh is somewhat mushy. It grows to be the heaviest boney fish!! They like warm water but in recent years many are seen off shore in the Bodega Bay area. Are you in Monterey area?

Hi Rod! Helpful tip that I learned with mine. When you pull the hangers outward, fold the ears outward so the edges touch, then hang on the cup. This creates a more secure attachment to help mitigate the filter slipping into the cup. I'll send you an email with pics. And by the way, the large conifer blocking the Glen Trail has been cleared :)

Great dirty back setup. I need to downsize mine. The contact case with Neosporin and cortisone is GENIUS! I usually buy those little refills packets for first aid kits and never go through them all. I’m going to try it out.
@rodoutdoors17 күн бұрын
Thanks! I realized Cortisone and Neosporin are what I grab the most for insect bites and scratches. It's nice to have it readily available. I used to carry the full containers so needed to figure something out lol. I also pack Gear Aid Tenacious Repair Tape in the first aid kit. In one of the shoulder strap pockets I'll carry a small dropper bottle with alcohol sanitizer and a small microfiber cloth. I get paranoid over poison oak.
