I have 2017 Mitsubishi outlander Sport AWD. I have 104K on it . I brought it in 2022 with 71K on it. It's still running. I've put in an aftermarket touchscreen and back up camera and front facing camera in it.

An old guy I worked with in auto parts worked on PT Boat engines in WW 2. He had a Chrysler 300 he drove to sell.parts It had 200,000.plus miles on it. He said that he didn't change the oil, just the filter regularly. I did and still do change oil and filter. I've been fortunate to have had very few mechanical problems . Oil is cheap compared engine rebuilds Quality filters and quality oil.

This has obviously been made on the quick with basic information you hear in BS talk by people that don't really know what they are talking about. This entire channel must be unreliable and just making videos for monetary purposes only. "Car Care Clues" must not care enough to even research the subject but just make a video with good or bad information as long as it gets views. Don't waste your time with them. There are other channels that are very well informed from experience. This is not one of them.

I've been a fully qualified motor tech for over 50 years and just decided to watch this video. The person saying this video is inaccurate is the one talking BS, NOT the video maker. Go and spoil your own day but not others if you can't say anything good. What goes around comes around.

Vote with your hard earned money: Toyota and Honda ONLY. This will put other carmakers on notice. Force them to level up and not treat us like garbage. Attn WHITE people: Please stop buying Land Rovers. Unless you want people to think you have more money than sense. Then carry on. (This is now a multi-generational problem.) The primary target demographic of Land Rover is "Affluent Caucasians." $100K+ for garbage mechanicals. They are clowning you. Tell them NO. Get a Lexus SUV instead... or Toyota Land Cruiser. Shut Them Down!

Your the only person to make this true comment on a post like this i've seen. Much respect. I also pour in some new clean oil so it's rinses/removes any old oil sitting on bottom of the oil pan. 5k max is my limit on an oil change.

Horrible video since you lied about the # of tips and you said Fram makes good filters. Fram high level (aka expensive) filters are okay but still not the best. Fram basic filters are the worst for your car..... just pure junk. Do better!!!!!!

I got a Mitsubishi Outlander 23 because I've read they were reliable. I have a huge buyer's remorse. A few months in, the info system started to black out, the charging ports randomly stop working, and the volume buttons work with the radio but not the info system (Android Auto, Spotify, etc). The worst part is that I can't get it fixed under warranty because the dealership said they need Mitsubishi authorization first, and Mitsubishi doesn't get back for months, then says it's useless to replace it because all their systems have this problem. The reverse camera developed a few sec delay and now it blacks out in the middle of reversing and the camera option does the same. You get a new car hoping to save on repairs but it becomes a problem without a solution. It's also very heavy and weak. I had a 2007 Odyssey before - an old, vibrating car that I spent thousands fixing - and it still ran better than the 2023 Outlander in terms of horsepower. If my old Odyssey's ride felt as heavy I'd think it needed an oil change. It already has a grinding sound when turning a wheel - started before one year, under 10K - and one of the trunk buttons doesn't work. It rough shifts into the park - the car jerks back and forth so much when pressing the park button that it makes people car sick. Very restricted interior space. The third row does not fit adults at all, even a slim short teenager has no room for legs. I was so tired of eternal repairs of the old cars and wanted a break for a couple of years... tough luck. If I could go back in time, I would never buy it.

Shotgun method used by most repair shops- replace all parts the *could possibly* be the problem. Easier and more profitable then troubleshooting the root cause. Shotgun method ensures the customer wont return for the same issue.

from the ford GM1.4L, 1.5L to honda 1.5L TO THE 1L 3cylinder there is only so small you can go and boost the power out of them ,they just cant handle the demand that is put on them,i say low as you can go,I would not go lower than 1.6L 1.8L,2.0L would be ideal ,lower just asking for trouble.

Discussing the Chevy Silverado and the GMC Sierra with varied engine problems such as lifter collapse and misfires, why did you show a Duramax diesel engine? None of those problems you mentioned are from that motor, this is misleading!

Only with cars younger than 20 years if you’re having a 20 plus year old car NGK copper plugs are the way to go as those old cars can’t get much use out of those highend iridium plugs.

5:09 What if the engine only rough idles at cold starts? Does that still mean it's a fuel injector issue?
@carcareclues
@carcareclues 7 күн бұрын
Rough idling at cold starts could hint at a fuel injector issue. A partially clogged injector sometimes clears as the engine warms up. However, other factors might also be involved. Sensors, like the coolant temperature sensor, can impact cold starts. Additionally, cold starts affect the air-fuel mix, sometimes causing imbalances. Start by checking the injectors, but keep these factors in mind. Thanks for watching and engaging with the video

@carcareclues Thanks for the good info. Can you please explain why a partially clogged fuel injector may clear after the engine warms up? What is the logic behind this? Thanks once again.
