I’ve just put it on a mates Linux box, as it’s the only way to keep their reverb g2 going, and it’s running really well on it. If I can get ams2 and a few other bits going I may bin micro$hit winblows myself

It is, windows 11 24h2 kills windows mixed reality, so either stay on windows 10 or bin the headset. At least on Arch Linux there’s a way around WMR, but controller support is not great yet, so they’ve got one of my old base stations and a pair of vive wands and it’s all working as it should. Quite surprising how good gaming is on Linux now.

Any will do I use a Rift s but only because that works well with my old gtx1080ti AMS2 is very well optermised for vr so look at something your gpu can handle and your good

I run 3080ti with an Index headset. Beautiful. But higher res would be lovely. I think it would be even more lovely to have a headset with more than double dpi with eye tracking so it would run well with 3080 or less. A lot of pixels are wasted in the eye out of focus anyway.

I have both! and a few others :) yes you can use a controler and be competertive, I've been left for dead on a few ocasions by people who use pads :)

Looking forward to seeing all the mods get the 1.6 update. I'm a beta tester and the improved tyre model is to me, on my dd1, a quantum step forward. Almost like a new game. There is now a real connection to the road that i just didn't feel before. And it looks even better too, best graphics in sim racing. I'd basically stopped playing AMS2 and was spending all my time on AC or rf2. Now i'm back playing ams2 for hours every day caning the 3 new tracks. Totally blown away tbh. My best guess is around xmas, maybe sooner... it's getting close people. You are going to love it.

@@dannyadams5250 Just the stockcar and formula ultimate. But even these are early versions of 1.6. Most car classes have now had their physics revisions completed in the beta and are next level to drive. So glad i'm a paddock club member. Get excited people, you're going to be happy

Another beta tester here. Totally agree with all you said. I've not played the release version now in weeks. I've got 70plus hours in the beta. Sebring esp the last turn when you hit the bumps, incredible. The new cars, Oreca, Alpine, Lambo all fantastic. It looks and plays great. Reiza have always said the next update is the best. This is the best one

Light rain , the infernal weather condition in AMS2. You overheat wet tyres and slicks are useless whenever a single drop of water has touched the racing line. 🎉

All about to change in update Voldamort, hopefully for the better. I find wive weather works far better than the preset slots that I used in this but unless your a historic weather nerd it's trial and error to get conditions you want.

If your unsure about grip on a turn try being at a higher gear than usual, torque to the wheels will be more smoother and you won't have to feather the throttle
