Anyone else notice on the passenger front fender it reads Ciera Cutlass?
@ViperJay55 жыл бұрын
I was just gonna say, I saw that too. I never could understand how badging gets messed up like that.
@kcmaldonado39485 жыл бұрын
It potentially could have been accident damaged and the body shop people messed up the emblems. Also notice the after-market high mount stop lamp in the rear window; those didn't come factory-installed until '86.

The first front wheel drive diesel V6 in the world as well as the best V6 engine in the world, one only 3, top honors goes to buick of course for starting the trend, the 3300/3800 came a long later, but in the meantime oldsmobile introduced a V6 engine that nobody would have ever thought to make, and they came with an engine that had the fastest acceleration and fuel sipping capabilties second only to the VW rabbit, but in more comfortable cars, and used an automatic transmission easier than a mercedes benz 5cyl. and it cost a lot less, so for at least 3 years, oldsmobile became part of the aristocrat croud, how nice.
@raymondhaley81566 жыл бұрын
To further add, the three best v6 engines ever made were GM,s 3300, 3800, 4.3 diesel, all were unmatched in acceleration, torque, reliability, don,t let today,s 24valve v6 engines fool you, there are 2 reasons why those engines aren,t better 1 is because those engines need 24 valves to generate enough compression to run, and 2nd most important, the pushrod v6 made it,s debut more than 40 years before the first 24 valve engine, what were supposed to do sit around and wait.
@raymondhaley81566 жыл бұрын
you have the engine engine that was once known as the baby 350, and it proved in every car it was used in including the first FWD 98, always the best performance and far as fuel economy second only to the volkswagen rabbit, but when it came to excelleration the rabbit was no match for cutlass ciera or any car that used that engine, I became interested in v6 engines because it, that engine should have remained in production long after 1984, it was a great engine, believe it or not that was the same engine that inspired mercedes benz to make teir own v6 diesel engines for cars trucks and buses.

why is that? why that region?
@freddyhollingsworth59452 жыл бұрын
@@klwthe3rd these cars have no power. they do good in flat farm country and the farmers loved them bx they used "farm diesel" in them, which was way way cheaper back then..... Also people up north in farm country tend to take much better care of stuff and make things last, vs the rest of the country.....

Interesting how the 5.7 V-8 Diesel has two (2) batteries, and this other Diesel only one (1). Thanks for sharing. Please leave video up after sold for educational purposes.
@ClassicTVMan1981X7 жыл бұрын
The V8 is a bigger engine, that is why that one needs twin batteries!
