From Spore normally we drive all the way to malacca and pump petrol before going back Spore in malacca town before highway. And another pump in JB before entering custom. So total 2 times.

Hi, we stayed in Ibis melaka.. alot of parking lots just behind the hotel, quite safe and walking distance to some of the food places.

Hi, I think you need sufficient fund in your touch n go to enter.. when we went there in April and May, there are alot of touch n go staff walking around providing top up service, so I am not sure now. If you have about 23Myr, should be enough to enter.
