This was a hard watch. I mean, i still watched to the end cause why not, but it's clear the nsukka girl was vexed and rightfully so. It's a dialect challenge. It's an opportunity to hear other dialects, see how similar and different it is from yours and maybe pick up obe or two things from it. What makes your dialect better? its similarity to central igbo? The groups, which central igbo emerged from had their dialect chosen because the communities had quite significant european presence. So congratulations, you're clapping for the colonisers. this is not to say that those who speak the dialects central igbo was gotten from should not be proud of it. Only that your dialect is no better than someone else's. your inability to understand is not the fault of the dialect. It's just not your dialect. And that is ok.

@@Urfavigbo Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I understand where you're coming from and appreciate your perspective. I want to assure you that my intention for participating in the dialect challenge was purely to celebrate the diversity and richness of our languages and dialects. I believe that each dialect is unique and valuable, and I never meant to imply that one is superior to others. My goal was to learn from and appreciate the differences, not to compare or rank them. I understand that my approach may have been misinterpreted, and I apologize if it caused any offense. Let's focus on promoting linguistic diversity and celebrating our cultural heritage together!
