Thank you so much for this video. I created a quiz by adding questions from various question banks. Is it possible to create a question bank from the quiz questions? The reason is I added over 150 questions but the quiz will only have 100 questions. So my hope is to create a question bank of all the questions I added, them create a 100 quiz from the with randomized questions. Thank you.

Hi! Here's the Moodle documentation on Question Banks - docs.moodle.org/403/en/Question_bank The general suggestion is to use categories to then be able to use random questions in a quiz. Here's a bit more on that aspect of question banks: ncsu.service-now.com/delta?id=kb_article_ml&sysparm_article=KB0020511 If you work at NC State University and have further questions, you can contact us for more help ncsu.service-now.com/delta?id=delta_get_help

@@DELTALearnTech thank you for your response. I have learned for next time that is best to create question bank categories first. But back to my original question, I created a quiz by adding questions from multiple categories. Is there any way to export the questions I added to this quiz into a new category?

NC State self-hosts Moodle and therefore can use different themes than systems who host through different companies. That may explain the difference. Thanks for watching!

@DELTALearnTech Жыл бұрын
As an open source platform, Moodle can look different depending on how it is set up at or for an organization. In our instance, this "download essay submissions" is available in the drop down menu under the "Results" tab within a Quiz. If you don't see that at your organization, you may be interested in this plugin moodle.org/plugins/quiz_downloadsubmissions. If you work at NC State University and don't see this option, please contact our DELTA LearnTech Help Desk.

Any suggestions for having the block drawer open by default?
@DELTALearnTech2 жыл бұрын
Hi! We are exploring ways to do this at our institution. Because we self-host Moodle, we can make some changes to how it behaves. However, we haven't put anything in place at this point.

Great video. Thank you. Quick question. How did you disable the word that accompanies the activity or resource icons that usually show what the icon is as a word, for example, Page, URL, Forum, Quiz, etc.? We just want the icon to appear by itself without the word next to it as seen on your Moodle page. Thanks in advance.

I wanted to ask you - are the elements in the course and in the menu on the left collapsed by default? If yes, how did you achieve it. On my site they are expanded by default and I can't figure out how to make them collapsed.
@DELTALearnTech2 жыл бұрын
Currently the elements in the course index on the left and in the main course view are expanded by default when a participant first enters a Moodle course page. This is specifically when the layout setting is "show all sections on one page." We have had requests to change this default.
