I did some research when Trump decided to run back in 2016... I found Trump's old TV interviews back in the 70's 80's...after listening, to all of them...I came to the understanding that Trump "ABSOLUTELY LOVES AMERICA" That being said I still don't trust politicians, or the news media. I tell people all the time that their vote in a local election matters more. When you see election results for a town that has over 3000 people and less that 50 people vote in local elections they still don't engage. Most have been indoctrinated to think that only the presidential election matters.

Very respectful and well done. I do think people are wanting more shows like this. In a town I use to live in they had a show called Town Hall where they did group discussions like this about local issues and then it just went off the air as there was more competition from the cable networks. I miss the shows like Donahue and Oprah. They brought people together to talk about issues, entertainment, etc. I live in Arizona and it was nice to hear what is on the minds of people in other states. Thank You! The economy? WE have the best economy in the world. Inflation was 9% when Biden took office and now it's just over 2%. That young lady was RIGHT on, PUBLIC EDUCATION is the way we rise. IT has been DEFUNDED and if Donald is elected, the Department Of Education will be gutted and possibly eliminated per Project 2025. A good president with a good Congress CAN walk and chew gum at the same time.

Price gouging was the number one reason that inflation became so high. There are many reasons why companies were able to price gouge, but the biggest reason was reduced competition. So many businesses went out of business and either consolidated and/or were acquired by other businesses during Donald Trump's administration. For example the number of domestic and foreign gas companies reduced by half. This allowed the companies that were able to survive to collude with each-other to artificially raise prices by reducing supply. Gas companies were intentionally reducing the amount of resources they drilled from the ground because they knew all the other gas companies would do the same. The same thing happened in the animal agricultural industry. Many small business farmers had to sell their businesses to large animal agricultural businesses like Tyson. Once Tyson and a few other companies had total control of the market they reduced their supply which sent prices soaring. This had down stream effects to fast food companies who had to sell their product for higher in order to retain the same profits. This goes on and on. Around the world this happened, but America was doing far worse then the rest of the world while Trump was president. Then Biden's administration took over and America went from the country that was impacted the worst by COVID to the country that recovered the fastest from COVID.

This is incorrect information. The inflation is caused from to much money chasing to few goods. My sister works for Walmart as a store manager and she said if she has her price to low, the government will fine them. Does that make since that they are price gouging when the government is already controlling price? The prices are high because of the government's meddling.

@@tjones2ful Agricultural price support programs have been in place since the 1930s and is used around the world - not only in America. "Minimum Support Price (MSP): The government sets a minimum price for select crops, ensuring a remunerative price for farmers. This price is announced before the sowing/planting season and aims to increase food security while providing a minimum profit for farmers." That did not change with Trump and will not change if Trump gets into power. The government pays farmers to not grow produce for the same reason. The government wants farmers to be able to sell their produce for a sustainable amount of profit. These policies from almost 100 years ago had nothing to do with the rapid temporary increase in inflation that the rest of the world also experienced during COVID. Government is allowed to set minimums, but not maximums. Minimums have zero effect on inflation when every company is already selling their product for substantially more then the government imposed minimum.
