I doubt the amazon basics cable is up to physical specifications for cat6. Cut into and see if it has an internal barrier that divides the twisted pairs into 4 separate channels and if it doesn't then it's cat5e being sold as cat6.

I just purchased a new Catayst 1000 which the active port LEDs blink not as rapid as other Catalysts I've seen in the past, it blinks about 1 time per second. Though everything is working fine, wonder if anyone has seen something similar.

Yep not used it, they just stay light which freaks me out. Have you been able to figure out why?

@@alexbasile991 Not really, but everything is 100% functional. I looked at one of the KZbin video about the 1K series. The person plugged in a network cord to port 1 for zero day configuration, and the LED acts the same fashion like me, so maybe it's just the design.

@@jcgoobee Apparently it is per design from the datasheet, also no mode button to see what ports are doing anymore :-( Uplink or downlink ports do not support the amber-colored physical light emitting diode (LED). For all port-related LED verification, use the show hardware led command. The uplink and downlink LED do not blink when the traffic rate changes.

one of my 2960x 48 p has a wired issue, when I turned it on after it completely boot up the sys light is solid orange I tried factory reset it but unfortunately still same issue which caused the switch to not communicate with the network, I contacted cisco the provide me license to apply but same issue still. Anyone face this issue may give tips to solve this problem. Thank you for you informative video

bawt a switch on ebay and ports 1-16 refuse to light up. config is a liar saying the status OK. Ports 17-24 work fine. Is this a power rail failure?

Call the video review doesn't actually test the cable speed...so basically is a video of you showing the cable and reading what the product description says Gg what's the point of that?

Yes it should work perfectly, however keep in mind you may get some interference if you're running it along with other wires

Hi Nicholas, thanks for the question. You should use a serial cable to connect to a console port. A serial cable is sometimes also called a console cable or a rollover cable. The pinout on a serial cable is different from the pinout of the cables I show in this video.
