oof. that hand injury. i really wish there was more safety testing on gear like this. people were breaking their wrists/hands on those moxi pads too. they were rated so high but thank god i looked in the comments AND people posted about that and posted pictures.

Have you tried having a beer? Always helps with confidence!
@keeponblading22 күн бұрын
I have not tried that. For two reasons: I don't like the taste of beer and I don't like the taste of alcohol. If I had a spine of this size at my local park, I'd just spend time and get there, but this was a 2h skate session and there were other things I wanted to do as well. The spine at my local park is even taller and steeper, so an even bigger ask.
@TheAlbaz27 күн бұрын
Keep up the good work. A couple of things: please don’t use “half cab”, it’s a skateboarding thing and it doesn’t really say which way you rotate when doing a trick approaching fakie. It’s either inspin or outspin. However this is neither because you are not really spinning (90 degree rotations don’t count) so it’s a fakie sweaty stall. Also, if you are going fakie and it’s a stall, it’s a sweatstance. No need to use fakie if you say inspin or outspin (or cab). Last but not least, if you are going fakie to fakie it’s called a zero spin.
@keeponblading26 күн бұрын
Well, the way I spin I would go into KG if I would grind. So I suppose that would be a zero then and someone else pointed out this is a zero spin. I'll update the thumbnail accordingly.
@Winky_and_the_brain29 күн бұрын
That'd be a zero kg stall! You've got it if you stay out and over transit
@keeponblading26 күн бұрын
As always: I know what to do, I haven't figured out how to pull it off. Lack of commit I suppose.
@Winky_and_the_brainАй бұрын
Get used to jumping onto the ledge, then adjust. Youve got this with some stalls and warm ups on other obstacles
@keeponbladingАй бұрын
Yeah, if I had had more time, I'm confident I would have landed it. Unfortunately I only had two relatively short sessions at the park and there was a bunch of other stuff I wanted to do more.

For lowering the butt, think of bringing your left hip down and in toward your lead foot. Great progress

how to get on the top?
@keeponbladingАй бұрын
In this particular case (and this is not unique) there is a ladder on the back so you can just climb up. But if there is not one, you will have to pump up on the ramp to get to the top and then fling yourself on the deck. Not that hard and low risk.
@SuntilАй бұрын

@keeponblading4 ай бұрын
I do not. The buckle is enough to keep my foot in place. I suppose it helps my skates are M12 that were VERY tight when I got them. Now that they are broken in, they just fit my foot perfectly, and I don't need laces to not get heel lift or whatever.

You got it dude. Just remember that tons of grinds are a small movement away from something you can already do. A kind grind is a frontside where you open up your knee and hip on your topside side. Be mindful of your foot placement and keep that booty hanging above the transition. Good luck!

Yes, it is in great condition. Unfortunately it is a 4h drive away so I don't get to ride it too often. I also heard they plan to lower it by 2ft over the next year as not enough skate boarders dare ride it. A shame, and the same city already has a 12ft vert, so that makes me sad!
