I make that sausage casserole recipe all the time, can highly recommend it. I keep meaning to attempt dehydrating it for parps and guffaws, see if that'll work.

Great video. I went over Cross Fell in Sept 6yrs ago walking the Pennine Way Sth to Nth Blowing a gale and raining sideways it was, negotiated the summit just as it got dark and my family texting me all the time saying stay away from the dangerous old mine workings there abouts! Which I could see in the dark! Wet and a tad cold I was greatly relieved to locate Gregs Hut (bothy) with my head torch which would have been 10 mtrs off to the north of the track you walked up on just below Cross Hill trig, Im supprised you didn't note it in your video. Spent a very memorable night with a German hiker who had already made himself at home in the hut.

Love the North Pennines Dave, they don't get hammered like the Lakes, Peak District, etc. Enjoyed the lead mining stuff too, right up my street and a nice shelf to camp on as well. Best wishes, Chris

Thanks for watching Phil, yes I love my Durston, loads of room however it does have big footprint so finding a pitch can be tricky but I’ve always managed. If you look at my video from last December you will see that I was at Kinder Downfall in the snow in the Durston Xmid with no problems ATB Dave.

I've camped up there a few times Dave, great 360 views, but it used to be a right bog fest on that top track up to the trig, so it's nice to see a proper gravel track being put in. Looks like you had a reet canny camp. ATB from DVS :)
