Does an opening like a metaphor related to my closing statement, for instance if i want to say 'this (opposition) is an accident waiting to happen.' then i narrate a story about an accident waiting to happen to relate to my case, ruin my statement? is it allowed?

Which job is harder? I’d say it’s real close. First speaker has more pressure, expectations, and has to focus harder on cohesion. Second speaker often has to use more prep time and the job heavily depends on how much prepared evidence you have so it can feel more out of your control.

I don't think this really helps my case! I am preparing for if I'm second affirmative, and how to do defensive rebuttals. Is their any content on how to rebut negatives rebuttals?

I fell for it! I’ve been leading meetings at work which has made it much easier for me to speak. What do you think about doing standup comedy (open mics) to face that fear?
