When white people managed and controlled the city,brown people didn't like it...the few blacks didntike it either... so they claimed racism.... the whites gave up and left the city in the hand of brown people.... businesses also left and followed the white people... so San Bernardino turned into a Mexican city with all kinds of crimes just like in Mexico
@Aikynbreusov11 күн бұрын
What's holding San Bernardino back, NO WHITE PEOPLE..... tbe whites left for other smaller nearby towns... so businesses followed the whites, leaving San Bernardino to be Mexico

not enough people discuss how insomniac events and the NOS events center can make San Bernadino a thriving and positive, beautiful and uplifting community. Ravers love this location, and they're some of the most genuine and caring people I've ever met. Every time we all wish we could help make the city better for our festivals, there has to be a way we can all work together and SAVE SAN BERNADINO!!!!

It also sucks that majority of new business that comes in are 7Elevens, Gas Stations or a damn Express Car Wash. Build rec centers and rejuvinate the parks. How many more convenient stores and gas stations do you need?

I can agree the North end is the best side to live and grow a family. The problem is the city has wasted and stole money directed for helping the city and also the residents in different parts of the city have contributed to the city being tore up. I lived on the east side off Date and Del rosa for 10+ years in late 90's-early 2000's, North Side off Fst and 48th for almost 10 and spent 2 years in the Arrowhead and 13th/Baseline and Mayfield area. With all that I can say ive seen many different sides of the city and it all aint good and it all aint bad.

As an Officer for San Bernardino County, I know first hand that this city has its good and bad. The city is filled lots of different Hispanic and Black gangs in a small area causing rival gangs to constantly cross paths which erupts in all kinds of different acts of violence.

it’s been deteriorating for many years especially after Norton AFB was closed in the 90’s, some refer to it as San Bernaghetto, also a lot of parolees were dumped there until the city complained, I also heard there’s a lot of corruption in the city government although I don’t know how true that is.
@JQUE9412 күн бұрын
No the city government is corrupt and have stolen money for decades. City has went bankrupt twice if not a third time if im not mistaken.

Thank you for bringing light to the City. I’ve been in SB since I was 12, now 27. Nothing but love for the town that saved my parents, me and my brothers/sisters when we couldn’t afford anywhere else to go. This will always be home and hopefully one day we can make everyone see the potential & beauty of San Bernardino
@pd246813 күн бұрын
Yeah, but that's all I can't afford you now. We're one big old homeless camp. We give them free money to be homeless. Is that not crazy? And then people go out and pick Obama phones to the homeless so they can make money off the homeless. See, Obama phones are not free. They get paid to pimp them phones. Every phone they get rid of they make a book. Believe me, so when we start. Taking responsibility for our actions.Maybe they all start taking responsibility for their actions.You know the homeless and stop being homeless and decide to get into a program.A shelter get mental help get drug addiction.Help something so we can help and get off the streets and get better.No we're not gonna cure this but we can't reduce it
@leftyleft38613 күн бұрын
Its just the homeless drug addics that eeff things up. Also vagabonds from out of state come here and add to the problem. The working class people whether they make a little bit or alot are solid people.

I’ve heard from people who lived there that blacks from LA began moving there en masse in the 80’s after getting crowded out by Mexicans. Violent crime went up, Whites left, and all the business left with them. Now it’s like South Central, but without any economic opportunities within driving distance. They should just bulldoze it.

The reality is that there is probably a lot of corruption going on and that is why they don’t care about the conditions of the city. I owned property in San Bernardino and I kept getting fined over stupid little things, such as covering my gate with a tarp (to avoid people looking inside my backyard)or having gravel in the driveway. The city is greedy and they keep trying to find ways to extort money from the residents . That is why I sold my properties and left.

I've lived in Northern San Bernardino for 16 years. While we can't deny what is being showcased in this video is correct (regarding the Downtown area) it's not a reflection of our city as a whole. There are very nice neighborhoods that exist here (Shandin Hills, Verdemont Heights, The University Dist, Arrowhead Country Club, ArrowView) We have a fantastic institution of higher learning (Cal State San Bernardino) a lot of new building going and Neighborhood Associations that work hard to keep our city stable. That said, this video serves as a reminder to those who were in charge of the legacy of failure they left behind. Better days "are" ahead, it's just going to take more time. The best thing about my city is the people who live and raise their families here.. by choice.

I agree the downtown San Bernardino area has changed a lot. Still a lot of homeless, but not as worse as it was since growing up out here but honestly, it is getting worse with the homeless still I don’t think the homeless would never die down out here in San Bernardino but I’ll overall I still have faith in the city to do. What’s best to keep going because you know I am from this county area. I’m from Loma Linda but honestly that’s San Bernardino is home no matter what and I’ve always believed in the city to come back to revive itself for the community.

Going to be interesting to see what happens. I get the feeling it's going to transform in the coming decade once a wealthier demographic moves in.
@WillieChilders-v9f16 күн бұрын
@ you what would be a big change but wouldn’t probably happen is the street clean up in homeless and not worry too much on gang activity. The reason why it’s that the homeless gets housing and the streets can start he clean up again.

At 2:08 where did you get that stat-graph, that's a straight number graph? Theres a reason the charts use variables such as (Murders per thousand people). With a graph like yours, if my city had 1 murder last year, and 2 this year, that graph would make it appear that we have a major crime problem even though we are the safest town in the US. I'm sure San Bernardino has a lot of problems, but using a graph like that doesn't help because it conveys no actual useful information, and just scares people that are too dumb to understand statistics.
