I am currently binge watching videos because I haven't raced in 8 years but looking to get back into it. I have a B7D kit coming this week and after this I might just go with the kit setup and see what it's doing. I am pretty sure when I was racing my B5M all I changed was springs and shock fluid.

watched this video a bunch of times to remind me to search for my own setup and why i dont should use a PRO DRIVER SETUP 😄 also i seen alot of people use pro setups and not be much faster then box setup becaus they are not as fast of a driver AKA learner drivers or dont got the style of drive to use the setup to the full potential.

Wish you still made videos, I’d love to pick through that knowledge of yours. Hate to say it but years of rc bashing and monster trucks, I’ve now turned to racing and took to the track for my first time. I’ve been spend almost 5-6 hours a night learning what I can.

What about using slicks on clay? My clay track that iss they run....but its hard to get them dialed in. Wondering if a rubber tire would be easier to get just a solid grip level. Because I have a drift car half the time after I get a little dust in them. Does tire sauce like fdj go out the window as soon as I hit the dust? Dies liquid wrench work in slicks like smoothie 2s all the same?

Subscriptions scare me. I'd be very willing to dish out $1200 for a great headset and $1000 for iPad but am weary of even a $120 subscription to foreflight because theoretically it never ends and adds up.

the 6.2 kit setup was pretty darn close for me. I messed with my 6.3 I dialed myself out of the window. Going to go back to the kit setup on my 6.4.

try v cutting your foam when mounting. get the tire a little more flat profile.

I see it differently. Foreflight may have killed you today. Hear me out. You know you have that tablet and app handy and can reference it during the flight on any whim. It may not be a false sense of security, however, it did contribute to you not putting in the time to do proper preflight planning. The radar on Foreflight wasn't showing you something that sprang up in 10 minutes. You could have, should have, checked that radar and called for a proper briefing before you even left for the airport that day. Had you done that, you wouldn't have had to rely on Foreflight to "save" your life.

Sometimes times, a fun car to drive isn't a winning car. More, speed can be ugly.

Maybe, get acquainted with the track before trying compounds. I saw this is an old video. However, we all ways need to stabilize the platform before attempting to modify things to get more speed. It really goes down to statistics. And that's where, let's say, the rubber meets the road. As such; this is a great conversation. I hope people read it and get a feel for the, sort of, effort that is involved?

Car looks loose. Perhaps; let's not conflate knowing the track with traction. It looks more like you're struggling with the track. And the buggy looks too soft. Either heavy or springs too light? That's where one might need to spend a week at a track to find the best traction combination. Your personal relation ship with the track should be stable before saying a thing about the traction you're getting.
