I attended AARP Oregon's SCAM JAM with 100's of other seniors this summer. Learned: PRACTICE A SCRIPT (THAT YOU CAN LIVE WITH) TO RESPOND TO ANYTHING that could be even possibly be a deception in the mail, solicitor at the door, written or pictured on your device, over the phone, etc. Example: "I'm old enough to make up my own mind. I'm snubbing you on my own terms. Good riddance!" We've been raised to be polite. Time to play offense and leverage our longevity to be aggressively offensive. If message is from someone who truly cares about my best interest, they will forgive me AND be proud of my push back.

Your video was so informative. I have been trying to search for a awesome video similar to yours that explains everything in this vid. 🧑⚕️ That explanation at 1:24 is so useful. Your explanation totally is like the vids of Dr. Ethan. Ethan's explanations are totally insightful and I really learned a lot for finals. He is a helpful health enthusiast in the UK! Go check out his page out and give the doc a like! 👉 #DoctorEthanScience

Very helpful and fantastic interview. I have had the pleasure of working with Mary and she is truly one of the most dedicated, informative, passionate and helpful people i have ever met. She cares for people like you are her own family member and she has been a great coach to me! Definitely recommend her to anyone; she is the best in the business - no question and I rarely say that. Truly an angel in our path!

Oh no. I am so sad to see a thumbs down. Of course I am thrilled that we are all entitled to our opinions and can voice them freely. With that, I do want to apologize if I inadvertently insulted anyone or said something disagreeable. It saddens me to think I left someone feeling badly or negative. If there is anything you'd like to discuss, please to reach out to me so that I can learn how to make improvements. Thank you quite sincerely.

Thank you both for the very informative & thought provoking presentation. Your rapport was fantastic. All though, this was an "interview setting" I often felt like you were both in my home having coffee with me. Thank you both for your commitment to educate, support & care for others. As you know, being a caregiver is often challenging both mentally & physically. It is wonderful to know there is education and support available.

Thank you so much for your valuable comments, and compliments, Jeannie. Caregivers often put themselves toward the bottom (or on the very bottom) of the pile of tasks and things needing attention. Thank you for stepping up to provide care for another (or in your case, many others) while still managing to get through daily life with a smile. Keep up the great job!

Thanks Lynette. You have been too kind to me. It is appreciated. The journey of a care provider is certainly not glamorous and met with many challenges. But look at this, you are doing it! Keep up the super job. I appreciate you.

Thank you Tracey Wolfman for having Evan Kaltman and Bob Singagliese from Veterans Home Care on your show. We're celebrating 15 years in business with our VetAssist Program at Veterans Home Care. Even if a veteran or surviving spouse isn't a good fit for our program, we're happy to be spreading the word about a VA benefit, known as "Aid and Attendance" that pays for assistance with activities of daily living. For those who qualify for the VA's Pension with "Aid and Attendance," and choose to use their Va benefits primarily for home care, The VetAssist Program of Veterans Home Care can provide: help with bathing, help with dressing, medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping and more. To find out if you or your loved one may be eligible, call toll free 888-314-6075.

Watching myself for the first time during a televised interview, Wow. My comment....Lynette Whiteman, you are incredible. What an amazing job you did! Your powerful questions really hit home to allow me to share information that may be helpful to the community. Thank you so very much for the invitation to be part of the Caregivers First program. Uniquely you, you're the best!

She's soooo weird...her facial ticks get worse whenever she is on air with the lovely, dark-haired co-anchor (don't know her name). It's obvious she feels uncomfortable & it prob. stems from feeling competitive & insecure. It's so hard to watch the assortment of weird faces & exaggerated hand gestures!!
