You're very welcome The key if it's on your person and you're right next to it it will automatically unlock because the key recognizes the vehicles computer Now if you have the key and it's further away it will not open Basically how I learned this was from a mistake of trying to lock the tailgate and the keys in my pocket not realizing anything in regards to it That when the keys in your pocket and you go to make sure it's locked it's going to be constantly unlocked because the key is right next to you in your pocket

However we got rid of the Jeep how much a year ago We tried everything to get better gas mileage even with everything used it still wasn't enough with the cost of fuel.. So unfortunately though back to your original statements SAE and metric are always going to be a thing and honestly there was so much metric on that jeep it wasn't even funny I hate the metric system I never liked it and as a mechanic it's pointless No offense to your comments all respectable comments here. @@jamiemayer I'm a former ASE master mechanic. Spent most of my years working on cars working for Toyota and Mitsubishi. Been turning wrenches on the railroad for the last 16 years so that's all SAE lol. As for the Gladiator yeah....horrid fuel mileage. Fun though. We got my daughter a Wrangler with the 2.0 turbo and it has noticeably better fuel mileage and feels a lot zippier than the 3.6 V6. Really wish they made a Gladiator with the 4xe.

@@chriscaz1239 I got them on Amazon and I had a lot of trouble with them at one point some of them quit working had to replace them. I don't remember the name you're going to have to give me some time and I will have to look and see what the name of them are They are a black LED lighting

@@TyK622 I I would like to take a moment and say thank you for watching our videos. I saved quite a bit of money.. Dealerships charge a lot per hour I don't know the exact rate most likely over $100 an hour Besides the fact this video has to do with the vehicle not having a trailer hitch or wiring. However Hyundai actually tells you according to the dealership that the Santa Cruz is literally wired for a trailer hitch. Of course it's not... It's only a pigtail up underneath the driver side quarter panel as I explained in the video. I saved quite a bit of money I am also very experienced with a mechanical background. I would say that my wiring is very neat as well. I was trying to share with everyone, how to do it and save a lot of money. I hope that answers your question.

@jamiemayer I hope you didn't get the impression that I was critical of what you did 😊 I just wanted to know your cost of material and labour's against what the dealership charges. The accessories at the dealership includes installation. I am in Ontario Canada. I have a 2023 Santa Cruz Ultimate and it cost me $875 cdn including taxes for the installation of hitch and 4 pin harness. Cheers.

​@@TyK622 no I understood what you were saying. It's all good my friend. Sorry for the delayed response for some reason I'm not getting notified when I receive a comment. I spent $225 on the trailer hitch. The wiring harness I got from the dealership because Hyundai claims that they're pre-wired for trailers and they're not. Anyone can argue with a dealership upon that and get that included as a bargaining chip for the purchase, just like I did. I already had the tools and the know-how So honestly it only costed me $225.00

Thank for great video. You did much of the job for me. To figure out what to remove first. How much weight do you plan on towing. I know it’s 5,000 lbs but that doesn’t mean it’s ok to tow that much. I’m planning to pull about a 3,000 lb rv trailer. Also do they make a 7 pin for 30 amp plug? TYI

LOL... No darling I actually have three beautiful children but they can be monsters at times. I am 52 years of age I have a 9 year old boy, I should say he just turned nine I have a 13 year old boy, he just turned 13 2 weeks ago he also is a major handful. We don't make anything we just kind of find things and research things... Might I suggest finding a video or some type of instruction on how to remove that front emblem. Get yourself a Scotch-Brite 3M gray pad. Not a red pad... Take the gray pad and gently scuff the emblem. After it's been removed from the grill, obviously. Get yourself a really good decent automotive gloss black and spray it. That will save you a lot of money. 👍

There's a lot of things like that on this truck It also has storage under the bed, you lift the bed floor up and there is storage it's also used as a cooler with drain plugs. Storage under the back seats not much but still. It has a button on the steering wheel you press it and you can go down the road without your hands on the wheel and it will turn by itself as well it's really neat. I'm an older fellow so this technology is pretty exciting to me. The dashboard is really cold the whole inside of the vehicle is really interesting. It's literally like Kitt from Knight Rider from back in the 80s. It even has a button that talks to you not sure how all this works yet.

Sounds pretty cool. Ive been eyeing those for a lil while now. Im a carpenter who carries some tools but doesnt want a full aize truck. Sounds like it could work out nicely ​@@jamiemayer

​@@JeremiahL1616I'll be totally honest with you gas prices on the rise once again it's definitely worth an investment. This is a newer vehicle only came out 2 years ago apparently from what I'm learning and the reliability is astonishing. I gave up a 2021 Jeep gladiator Mojave for this and I think I made the right move. The Jeep gladiator is a gas pig.... Even with a k&n air filter computer chip the full 9 yards, it's still not a fuel efficient vehicle. It's a very nice vehicle they have a lot of different versions of this starting not even sure what the price range is you would have to look into that because two years ago they were in the 20 some thousand dollars. Now they're a bit pricey for many different reasons added technology and many other options.

Just got it last Tuesday. There is a lot to learn about it. I cannot believe how thick the manuals are. I love how the tonneau cover is like a garage door and its flush with the bed rails. We have a lot of things coming to install a train horn like we had in our Jeep. Vent shades all kinds of stuff in the works. This is truly my first foreign vehicle. I can't believe that I actually purchased this. I personally like the classic cars more and the muscle cars. All the newer vehicles to me look alike. This one however does stand out

Does it have tie downs in the bed? What about an oulet like trucks?
