soo.. i dont understand how this works.. do you replace ue4 mannequin with a new ue4 mannequin to get animations from mixamo, but can you also use other animations that were made with the default ue4 mannequin on this one?

I found this method to be much faster, perhaps less accurate. But I found the accuracy that is missed when using this method a lot of the time is negligible. I'd recommend you try both and decide which you prefer :)

@@WiresIndica I like doing them 1 by one. If I do a batch conversion, and 1 animation fails the conversion, then all of them fail (or some of them just have a bad conversion as a result of the failure). So in my experience it was safer to do them 1 by 1.

And the program doesn't work anymore. I placed my fbx in the new Incoming folder, run the exe and nothing is in the outgoing folder :( Now I'm thinking you just inadvertently linked us to a virus.

Is any other way to replace automatically mannequin for custom mesh without retarget skeletons in 3dsmax with same pose? I heard it might be possible for same animations but it requires recreate BP scripts for gameplay again.

Word the wise: If you enable root motion on the imported animations, the Z offset is lost and they look like theyre hovering 8 inches off the ground again. To fix this - set the "Root Motion Lock" to "Anim First Frame"

Hello, it worked well but weeks later it now says: "ERROR! Autodesk FBX SDK version 2020.0.1 Release (a950256aa) Call to FBXImporter::Initialize() failed. Error returned: Unexpected file type" How to solve it? Yesterday I installed new SDK files and/or VisualStudio because UE5 had a problem with packaging. But I have no idea what I did. Is the reason that I changed something with SDK?

I had to enable the custom option instead of disable it and originally import my mesh that I wanted to use in the first place, since I'm using the Paragon Greystone asset. Anyway great help the result came out good!
