You made a mistake at minute 1:43 for publishing the photo of 3 German paratrooper planes, they are Junkers Ju-52, three-engine aircraft !

07:16 I see my house, lot of the clips were "Close" ;) but not quite there. also see the old doc's and bus station. Lidl is there so it's not a hugely old picture... well... lidl opening in 2000 so i guess it could be old.

I left in 1984. Wonderful to see these images. Those who went before me and also during the demolition. I moved away and when I came by one day, it was gone. Good times and I was given a good start thanks to DHS. Thank you John.

Looking through all these wonderful photos and memories, one thing strikes me is the feeling of a REAL COMMUNITY, where everyone knew each other and although they had little themselves, they were always willing to help out if they could. We just don't seem to have this these days. in those days you left yer front door open and nobody burgled anyone, you could pop in and borrow Milk, or sugar etc.

Ha ha, you obviously didn't live in Woodburn in the 1970's when the YWBB were running wild in their "bovver boots and yellae laces".

Thanks John, a great Tribute to Men of Arnhem 1944. My granddad was one of the few who got out of Arnhem (1min 42sec colour photo still Granddad with Bren gun on far left with Corporal Alfred Reynolds 2nd Left KIA 18/19th Sept 1944 other soldiers currently unknown) I've got IWM print in B&W but was hoping if you know how I can obtain colour, also if anyone knew the other 2 soldiers in the photo still
