Omg, that's not when you use a whisk, nor the proper way to use it! You also shouldn't hold your measuring spoon over the mixing bowl & shake spices into it; you get more than the required spice (or extract) each time. I can't watch anymore of this! You definitely need to watch a few professional cooks/chefs to learn the proper techniques you obviously were never taught.

IN YOUR RECIPE YOU USED 16 SLICES OF BREAD. IT WOULD BE A LOT EASIER IF YOU WOULD HAVE WEIGHED THE BREAD. THAT WAY WE WOULD BE ABLE TO USE ANY TYPE OF BREAD AT THE SAME WEIGHT.

So sorry. I don't have a scale to weigh the bread. However, a loaf of bread weighs one pound, or 450 grams (taking out both ends). I hope this helps!

@@SouthernGardening50 Hello, we don't buy bread in the supermarket anymore, we've been baking our own bread for over 40 years and our bread weighs 30 oz. or 850.486 Grams. you see, our loaf is slightly heavier then your loaf of bread. Invest in a good digital scale. loved your recipe.

You're so welcome. I wish we still had bread stores around here. There used to be several. I loved getting the little cakes from there, too. Now it's one whole aisle of bread at the grocery stores. And though I never see ole loaf bread marked down, I often find Italian or garlic loaf bread or day old brioche buns for 50 cents. I need a deep freezer, because I'd load it down with bread and meat when I find it on sale.

I'm trying to get back at it. I'm still not convinced that my issues are behind me. lol But, I can tell you I've had more energy in the last five days than the last 7 months combined. So, my fingers and toes are crossed. You disappeared all summer? Are you okay, or was it to go have some fun? PS. I did try to start to catch up on all of your videos that I've missed. But, I made the mistake of first watching the one about your dad, and within seconds I was boohooing, and logged out. Lol I'll have to start over somewhere else. Maybe the one about you Citizen watch. I got my Citizen watch at age 18 and still love it. It was $200 in 1991, but probably isn't worth $20. Lol GREAT to see you, and thanks for checking in on me. :)

That’s not southern bread pudding. As if the condensed milk wasn’t sweet enough? Then sugar? That’s not how I was taught. Bisque’s make the best bread pudding. We never used anything but shear and vanilla flavor for the sweetness.
