this is nice if you're next to a forest and know the oak spawns by heart, but its easier for me to just run 5 minutes to a zone where every tree drops heartwood, 17-20 a piece and takes less time to chop down

I'm on Fenrir > Bronyr, on its southern border to Pladenn is a wolf cave and some inquisitor POIs. i fill my bag up with over 1k heartwood in about 20-25 minutes, drop all the sapwood and resin. avoid the wolves and wisps. easy farm

​ @tonybrutal its a forested zone with lots of very distinctive red pine looking trees. on the map it looks like a brown forest biome. theres usually POIs like a wolf cave or inquisitor spawns. try having a look around the area if you come across it. you wont miss it when you see it.

@@iforaniNOX well I do see what you're talking about for most players, I think a lot of them will opt to just farm materials closer to home. From what I'm looking at, I'm betting those area's will be a nice hike for majority of people. But I do see your point.

​@@tonybrutal yeah, i would definitely base it off of the position of your base. if you're a short jog away from a zone like that, then i think it's more efficient to go there instead of bouncing from oak to oak in a tier 1 forest. There's two seperate biomes that have heartwood trees, i just prefer the red oak forest. So just find out what's nearest to you. The biome with the bonzai looking trees also drop heartwood, and instead of resin, you get juniper berries, which might be useful for potions or food. the big bonzais drop 17-20 heartwood on average.

I'm curious to see how they are going to do the economy update where they add gold, without NPC markets.

@@tonybrutal The game will die if you have ever played Duel Universe it started well and just died although they are trying. I expect this game to be the same NPC market is a must.

You can get pure iron ore from Ancien and Inis Gallia. The lands look cursed. In Ancien it's to the middle-West of the map. North of Tolosa to Armanhac. In Inis Gallia I found it north of Jura.

@@uberrod I made the run, multiple times, from Bronyr in Kerys before I just moved to this map lol. But I understand, so maybe when we get mounts it wont be so bad.

I absolutely agree, its a real problem. I just moved to Ancien and joined an actual clan because of Kerys resources being so terrible.

At this point, it seems all "stone" structure are referred to as "foundation". There are better wall and such, which require clay -- sort of like plaster and beam structures.

Build pottery kiln, unlocks stone construction. Had same issue kiln did it for me. Edit make bricks, that was the unlock.

This one adds the good stuff from Valheim to the mix. Best building in any game I ever played so far.

That sounds like a solid way of doing it. I like that.

@XelaML when you go higher walls are everything. Walls or, especially, stone foundations walls reinforce pillars. You can test it by going as high as possible with pillars or vert beams. Then shove walls in and watch the pillars/beams change color. Frames are important but each part has its role. As i said. Im 9 high with green pillars/beams because of walls. No framing. Bar floor supports.

oh for sure. but it's ok, I've been playing solo and leveling up my skills to gear myself up as well as focusing a lot on adventuring around different maps, and I solo all kinds of stuff so it's fine.

@Nope60_09 yeah ignore angled beams. Stone pillars and 1/3 stone foundation walls are great for support. Horizontal beams for bracing. My buildings over 9 high 😅 and could easily go higher

Several but not much eh...well I spend a whole lot of time in the wildlands and searching for it, and I have yet to find a single pure iron ore in the Kerys wildlands. I find it in every other map though. Im in Inis Gallia right now, several people farming this location but I've still managed to at least find some. If you have the exact locations for Kerys, please share, so far everyone that has shared the exact locations has been wrong...

That spell on my F1 is Mesmerize. I did make a new video after this one, showing you how to get mesmerize and blessed renewal without any spells or potions.

How is it not? You can pile up heartwood in no time, and if you are in Kerys then you need to know what to look for.

This is the best biome I have seen for heartwood. If you know of a better spot please share.

@@tonybrutal Logged in today and three chests by my fletching table were gone. Two were filled with wrought iron arrowheads while the third had wrought iron arrows, sinew and bow making stuff. Also lost some stone pillars next to the chests. Somehow these things just got deleted. I'm bummed.

@@tonybrutal All set to private. But I also loss some stone pillars just behind the chests as well. Something randomly deleted items in that small radius. Weird. I submitted a bug report about it. Sill I would say your pure iron loss was a worse blow.

@@labels707 right now nothing. It may or may not become a component for something later, word is it might have something to do with alchemy. I have not found any purpose for it at all though just yet.
