Those kids should really lose the woollen hats and get a good deal on their grade 5 ear muffs, you can’t enter the Armed Forces with hearing loss below H2H2.

Question Why are so many ACF Adult Instructors obese? This must effect what they can do, such as Assault Courses, Speed Marches etc.
@hazelscarlett72993 жыл бұрын
ACF Instructors are not in the army it’s a voluntary youth organisation so assault courses, speed marches and certain levels of fitness are not a requirement of the role. The role is more about teaching and supervising young people around basic military skills, adventure training, achievement of Duke of Edinburgh Award and other activities. Everything the cadets and volunteers do is voluntary. It’s helpful to be fit of course if there are activities that are quite physical but if it’s too much for a cadet or volunteer they don’t have to participate

Beggars can’t be choosers… you go with the instructors you have not the ones that you want - to bastardised Donald Rumsfeld’s quote, is it setting a good example? No but it’s better than nothing, you should see some of the bloaters in the New Zealand Cadet Forces… Keep in mind the Cadet Forces, Special Constabulary and the like occasionally attract a certain type of person, the lure of a uniform and a position of power is strong, for the Cadet Forces a pretend commission and picking out a set of tweeds and moleskins rates higher than their time spend administering their cadets.
