Hey I just watched your video about printing with thick opaque ink from a few years ago. I see you’re still uploading consistently and want to thank you personally for pouring into the community regardless of view count. Your video helped me out tremendously as I’m starting my printing journey and getting that thick white underbase to print nicely has been a challenge today.

Surprised I’ve never seen anybody use this technique. I’ve had a heckuva time with our Powerclip where it looks fine on screen and print preview but The contents are shifted when printed. This technique should eliminate this entirely since they are simply bitmaps that are cropped in the shape of whatever you desire. Thank you So much.

Very simply you can Blend it along that path. You can make many variations with Blend Tool like size , number and colour. It can be rotated also. Anyhow Thank you.

very good content but extremely out dated, maybe do an updated video showing how coreldraw does it simply through the print options.
@NShannonWalker
@NShannonWalker 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, yes this is similar to the way we did it before computer graphics. At the beginning of the video I mentioned that while there are more efficient ways of separating color, I believe it's useful for a new printer to do a few manual separations in order to understand exactly what separations are and how they should look when properly done..

Apparently the coreldraw program that I am using is not the full package which significantly limits tool selection. Is there a roundabout way of doing it instead of using the very awesome vignette tool?
@NShannonWalker

I don't use the vignette tool - This video shows two alternatives.

Hi, when I convert to bitmap then add the blur, the effect stays within the shape of the outline itself - i.e. it's defined by the shape and there's no blur so to speak around the edge

I keep getting some sort of error message once I click print within GSV. Followed steps from your video many times. I am using Coreldraw 2020. Converted imagage to bitmap (grayscale.) Then hit print, save file then open in GSV. Is there anything I may be doing wrong or an added step? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@NShannonWalker
@NShannonWalker 3 жыл бұрын
So the file displays in Ghostview but you get an error message when you try and print? What does the error message say? If it displays properly in GSV you should be able to print using your normal printer settings.

@NShannonWalker

Yes they do. So after the design is in proper registration you want to tape the registration marks off so they don't appear on the printed shirts.
