Dr. Fortier’s approach was thorough, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based medicine. She not only explained the mechanisms behind these treatments but also provided up-to-date data on their effectiveness, discussing both the benefits and limitations of each modality. One of the standout aspects of the presentation was Dr. Fortier’s ability to integrate current research with real-world clinical practice. She discussed the latest clinical trials and studies, highlighting how emerging therapies are changing the landscape of joint treatment. Dr Trucco from Argentina

I have a senior diabetic, and I have trouble keeping his numbers regular and keeping weight on him. He is under a strict feeding schedule. Being older I know it's harder to maintain weight but has a healthy appetite. He was never overweight. How can I help him gain some weight back!? Yes, he gets wet food mixed with boiled chicken.

its funny how we all felt so awful about cutting the nail too much, we watched an animated video about it, cried about it, guilting ourselves into thinking we’re so horrible that they’ll hate us forever- and now, my cat is making biscuts on my ass and just fell asleep on it

My cat acts like I have injected some kind of poisonous acid in her mouth. I just started an 84 day, 2x/day treatment. It’s going to be a long 3 months. I feel terrible every time I give it to her. She seems to forgive me quickly though.

Doctor you get the top award in dog tooth brushing. You must give out steak as a reward. I have three dogs who get their teeth brushed after their evening meal. The best I get is the maxillary canines and incisors. You’ve put me to shame. I’m going to up my rewards to something more desirable and aim for more teeth. 👍. Great job. Thank you for your demo.

The videos on your youtube channel are very nice. Your youtube channel video quality is very good. Thumbnails are eye catching. Your channel deserves more views. But there is some problem with your channel. For which your channel views and subscriptions are not increasing. If you say I can share with you.

So true, I had to help a horse transition a few years ago when he couldn’t keep weight on and developed recurring sinus infections from late stage cushings. I mourned him like a member of the family, it broke my heart. It is always a difficult decision but better than letting them suffer when there is no chance of long term recovery. Blessings

My baby 3 month old kitten rescently died from FIP. She had very fast breathing, lithargic, didnt want to eat, fluid in the lung sounds. It was horrible. She did have really stinky poops/diarrhea. Figured it was worms or something. Took her to the vet. They thought it was a respiratory infection common in cats, so we got liquid antibiotics. Gave them to her as prescribed. Kept getting worse.. after a couple days i was so worried , i was going to take her back to the vet the next day if she didnt eat. The next day she collapsed and had a seisure. I had nothing but shorts on, giving her mouth to mouth all the way to the vet 10 min away. It will always scarr me. RIP my beautiful Luna.. your time with us was too short...

Stethoscopes don’t tend to work well on reptiles. 🐍 Scales interfere with sound transmission, and frightened tortoises and turtles hide behind their legs, covering their hearts. But now, researchers at #CornellVet have discovered they can consistently measure reptiles’ pulse rate in an easy-to-reach spot on the back of the head, and that pulse rate corresponds to the heart rate in healthy reptiles. The technique requires an ultrasonic Doppler flow detector, a common instrument found in most veterinary clinics. While the location to obtain a python’s heart rate is well known, a location to obtain a pulse rate had not yet been accurately described, said Dr. Nicola Di Girolamo, associate professor of zoological medicine and section chief of exotics at the Cornell University Hospital for Animals. The ability to measure pulse rate allows for a more complete cardiovascular examination. This method provides another way to listen to a reptile’s heartbeat while it is under anesthesia or to treat an animal that’s feeling defensive. “It can be easier and less stressful to do it this way,” he said. ❤️ The findings were published Sept. 4 in the journal Veterinary Record of the British Veterinary Association. My understanding is there are 2 medications that just recently became available in the US for treating this. They have been using these in Austrailia, the UK, and possibly China with hopeful outcomes for the cat. (remdesivir and GS-441524)
