To answer why your game might be freezing in some parts, it could be that your allocated ram is low. Minecraft default allocated ram is 2 which isn't enough for Minecraft as of today, try raising it between 4, 6 , or 8 GBS of ram (if you only have 8GB of ram in your computer then only allocate 4.) Hope this solves your problem!
