That story about your manager hitting on your girlfriend just reminded me of how scummy restaurant Managers often are. Idk what it is about restaurants but the managers are almost always degenerate low lives who are incredibly selfish and sometimes even creepy towards the fenale staff. Personally i have a rule that i will NEVER work fast food. I only work in actual restaurants. People who dont work in food service might be Wondering what the difference is but trust me theres a huge difference. In fasr food you are nobody and are easily replaceable. When you work in a restaurant uou often have more freedoms and are able to show your skills and build a reputation that grants you more perks and makes you kess likely to he fired when you screw up. At least thats how it is from my experience. My favorite restaurant job was a palce here in Texas called wing daddys which is essentially a mix of buffalo wild wings and Hooters. You could dress how you like so long as you Wear the t shirt which is black and red so it fit well with mt gothic fashion sens ans you never have managers breathing down your neck and micro managing. If you know how to run the kitchen and got it covered they will never bother you. You have trust and respect.

One of my biggest fears is when im working in a kitchen and i see that one co worker who is like a 50 uear old man whos been working as a cook for his whole life and has no other options left. Im terrified of ending up like them. I love cooking and working in a kitchen but the things i absolutely hate about it snd nake me want to not do it are more of rhe little things. Things like touching oil or having food on the bottom of my shoes and having my feet hurt because skip proof shoes are poorly made and make my feet hurt. It there was some new technology that could nake fryers clean themselves i would 100% love working in restaurants. Cooking is very relaxing and it feels good to see someone enjoy something you worked hard to make for them. Its just the lottle annoyances of working in kitchens add up and make the experience miserable and it really doesn't have to be.

They even convinced the public to TIP/PAY the majority of there staff 🤣The owners make BANK doing little to nothing, while the BOH works for minimum wage NON STOP and below for the FOH... Want to be a chef or sous chef? Get ready to work seven days a week, and practically make less money than a line cook because your on a shit salary !!! Also forget social hours / holidays you'll be working, and these dumb cunts make it seem like its an honor/you earn some bullshit blue collar merit badge for wasting your life...Turn around rate is easily 90% yearly on staff, which means you spend so much time training/ dealing with incompetents. Oh and also you will have to provide your own "Professional Appearance" and "Equipment"... Yeah pristine chef attire.... uniform/knife set/pan/utility sets.... The restaurant industry has become a place for ex cons and junkies...ITS A FUKING JOKE NOW DAYS!!!
