It’s a good conversion from the nes game. HOWEVER, while it obviously lacks color, but it also does lack animated backgrounds and some backgrounds in some levels are entirally missing. Also the music from those flights are the wrong ones and should,ve been only kept in the cantine room. In workd 2 (they wrongly did put the music wich is supposed to be the airplane tune) in that world. The actual tune from world 2 in the nes version is missing here. Also those pictures from those rescued characters are very small as opposed to the nes version. Also many sound effects are different but other then that it’s a good port from the nes version.

Never knew you could speed up the first boss fight. Same with the out of bounds glitches, awesome video! This game is straight nostalgia

I literally found out this existed today lmao. This was so cool to watch! I never imagined it would be a sub-15. A couple of thoughts: I wonder what exactly causes you to get a massive speed boost on swinging vines and chains. I've experienced it myself but never consistently. I imagine its just grabbing from the left and then a frame-perfect release? There is a new strat on the final boss that involves waiting to blow up the first poison apple a bit, but saves about 3.5 seconds overall. You can watch it in my new PB!

Does anyone else get the weird feeling that this wasn’t originally a Hercules game, but a game that got the Disney branding slapped on it? Hercules’ movement is like the original Prince of Persia, and the level layouts are like something you’d see in the DOS era.

I felt the same thing. especially with the in game model I thought it was gonna to originally planned the legendary journeys before they switched to the Disney one

Oh my God this is so awesome! I knew this game on ps1 was broken with out of bounds tricks, but your tas showed bigger out of bounds tricks that i usually see! Man i honestly wish the n64 version was broken like this!

I gave it a thumbs up because this is truly beaten as fast as possible, but it is also very boring to watch. Every level is pretty much the same thing to the point where once you watched one level, you've watched them all. A glitchless run instead would be awesome, but I know more time consuming.

Great TAS! And, on the bright side, I think the music sounds quite a bit better here than when you play it on Super Game Boy! Some of these tunes are pretty jamming I also love that Hercules looks at you and twirls his sword before and after climbing ledges; so extra of him!

Were you considering submitting this to TASVideos? I just today completed a TAS of the original Shrek 2 GBA and I was thinking about looking at this game. Even if you aren't planning on submitting it, it would be cool if you uploaded it to TASVideos user files so other people could see it and improve it.

I liked this game until i got stuck on the second level for several days and could never find the exit There's a room with a desert background that has literally nothing in it except a hallway with ennemies and a dead end and it always confused me

This game was one-of-a-kind bonkers. Used to take me ages to complete the missions because I’d stop to listen and laugh at all these. You can tell the writers had so much fun. The criminal sociology one was my personal favourite. Shame you can’t get the game anywhere anymore. Gutted you didn’t get more views.

Oh good, so the meteor level's incredible strategy of "fly down and right to minimize damage" really is the optimal play. And here, I thought it would be possible for the TAS to weave through the rocks. Now I'm glad I wasn't just garbage at dodging. Actually, it was kind of fun remembering this janky old game, and the fun glitches you could take advantage of, like light saber-wielding Han. Was Luke damaged getting to the bar? Well, now you have Han's health, but with Luke's attack power. And then you can do it again later, when you get Leia!

Out of curiosity: Does skipping cutscenes frame-perfectly break the game in any way? I did a TAS of Toy Story 2 (same devs worked on this one) and it has a massive glitch that allows you to skip all but 2 levels by just skipping cutscenes.

That's sounds interesting. I'm not sure with this one but it wouldn't surprise me if it's breakable. Most Tiertex games have weird glitches.

🤷🏼‍♂️🙂💪👍🏼... a good and or decent version of Hercules the Legendary Journeys by Disney --- but honestly it could have been so much more !? Why didn't the GBA or DS receive a Hercules or even Xena rpg/adventure type electronic video game... where these kind of titles not in style/ignores by the early 2,000's - 2,010's ???
