DJ has a very specific 14 lb ball he picks out that’s different from the other ones. He probably would have hit higher if he bothered to throw more than 1 warmup shot, haha!

Hahaha…. We tried. Nobody wants to drill these old rubber balls. They say it’s like setting off tear gas in the pro shops because of how nasty the ball material is. Joe and Michael had blisters from this video recording. We might just retire these balls 🥲

@@GYCBowling As far as the PSO's are concerned I am going to call weaklings on them. For a hundred years all bowlers only had rubber balls and PSO's never complained about drilling them. People have gotten soft and spoiled, pretty smelling resin balls with special cores that steer them into the pins like magic. How the the sport has fallen.

We wanted to stay away from all the serious bowling, ball numbers/reviews and just do fun content to remind ourselves that there’s more to bowling than just league and tournaments. We wouldn’t go as far as to say our videos are “parodies”, but it’s a fair assessment. We’re just fooling around. We promise we don’t act or bowl like this during league. We take a lot of inspiration from 220 average bowler and his fun videos. But you’re absolutely right… we don’t bowl nearly as well 😅. Thanks for your comment!

@@GYCBowling your welcome, there are plenty of good educated videos that can help you majorly improve. Here is 5 easy steps without details that will help: 1- pick the right bowling ball for you 2-practice rolling with palm facing up 3-never take more than 6 steps starting from the 2nd line of dots 4-only bowl 1 ball on the lane at all times 5-consider buying a personal bowling ball (I own 3 balls).

@@GYCBowling the balls used in this video are what’s called house balls, they are used most frequently and absorb a lot of oil and are in bad shape. You can still hook with these but it will be much harder, your scores will be inconsistent also.

We’ve done something kinda similar, but we’ll definitely try to fit one of those in again soon! We’re currently in the process of looking for another alley to call “home”. One of the places we checked out actually has every single weight 6-16, so we gotta try!
