Yup. The OP made an error. The car is a CXL not a CXS.

I’ll check if the sprocket is loose. I already replaced the sensor and the check engine light was still on after clearing the code.

What engine does it have? The CXS should have the V8 North Star Engine.

Thank you for the video! We are about to take a long trip and borrowed my wife’s Terrain (that we are about drive the long distance) only to have it having this exact issue while I was driving. I’m going to go grab the cleaners tomorrow and try this with hopes that it doesn’t come up in the drive. 😬

my grandmas 14 enclave will shudder terribly when accelerating from a stop within 2-3k rpms. could this be the problem?
@RGW653 ай бұрын
That could be a bad spark plug or ignition coil

I fixed the shudder on my 2012 enclave 146k by replacing all the motor mounts

These are junk and so is the electrical system in the motor as well as a lot of the small plastic pieces break off. I don't know a lot about engine mechanics but I do know I've had these before and they are always full of issues especially if you live in a state like Pennsylvania or anywhere with snow and rust
@Long-Island-Sound7 ай бұрын
Owned an '89. Vehicle had quite a few issues from the start. ● Rear brakes had a caliper design flaw where the slides would get filled with rust and you'd go through rear brakes in 6 months. A TSB for a bronze sleeve was issues, but most shops just kept replacing the brakes. ● ceramic resistor on the inside of the firewall was poorly manufactured and after on winter with the heat/defrost on it would crack and then you were stuck with a low fuel light always on. ● insanely stupid design with the wire bundle from the crank sensor to the coil pack. They installed the bundle unprotected and routed on the left side of the engine behind the water pump. Wires would get damaged and rhe bare wire would ground out on the block killing the ignition circuit. ● The engine block still had the distributor hole they installed and o ring and plate and held it down with the same clamp and bolt used for a distributor. The o ring would fail and you have a mess of a leak. It a 5 hour job to take apart and reassemble the intake system to replace a $1.25 O ring. ● the windshield area drains were notorious for getting clogged and you would end up with a lake on the drivers side floor. ● the door locking was easily averted and you could get into the car in less than 30 seconds with Pontiacs here's your door break in tool. All you had to do was unscrew the antenna, pry the door open a bit, and slip the antenna in and trip the door lock which was conveniently positioned on the top side of the arm rest.

Don't forget it was either the 2.8 or the 3.1L coolant bypass hose fitting would corrode and leak at the intake manifold.
