Been using the resin method for a few years. I suggest sanding. Not bagging on your helmets at all, but you can see uneven layers of the resin, and it looks chunky like someone put to much paint on them. I know its extra works but in the end its worth it.
@zoomcreationz27 күн бұрын
I’m trying to make things as easy and accessible as possible for beginners! Sanding can be very tedious to some. I have done sanding on a ton of projects for content but showing easier ways to make something acceptable for themselves is the goal! I have personal items that I keep for myself that get sanded and resin put on creating beautiful work

Why you you dremeling a 3D print, just print the globe with the right shape for the base as part of its design. Also you can 3D print threads into the base and the globe to allow faster assembly and avoid ever using that welder tool you have. I appreciate the idea, but where are you stls? I’d like to remix and print this project.
@zoomcreationzАй бұрын
First, I am doing tutorials to teach people who don’t have all the knowledge or tools to be able to do or even comprehend what you just have explained… Second, I appreciate what you are saying but this worked out just as amazing, we have it on display till this day working just fine haha
@Chef_PCАй бұрын
Sure, if he was going to batch these out. This is obviously a one-time print (barring failures) and if it ends up looking and working good, then there's no reason to reprint it just to have extra crap sitting around. Maybe if he prints another one - take a few minutes and design in some attachments and improvements, etc, but not much of a need if you get what you want out of the one print.
@jasonconstant455Ай бұрын
@@Chef_PC I guess man, maybe I’m the exception as a Mechanical Engineer who likes 3D printing, but I make a living making sure my parts don’t need rework when they are made, so I wouldn’t design a part that needs rework. Also to OP, if you are making a video that requires a 3D printer to do, I think you can assume that the viewer has some CAD skills. Otherwise it would be like owning a 3 axis CNC Router without knowing how to use a radial arm saw… But also still confusing for me that you don’t have your tools or the STL to print this part in the description. It’s like having a cooking video without the recipe. Also I’m not attacking you or trying to be a hater, I’m just saying that there are other skills you could use to improve that project. Isn’t the implication of posting a “how to” video to up-skill your viewer?
@zoomcreationzАй бұрын
@@jasonconstant455I agree, wasn’t arguing that, being new to KZbin coming from TikTok learning a way to post. Not everyone who has a printer is a professional or knows how to use there hands/mind to create something. Too some people this is learning because someone could have all the tools and not even know how to do this. Its not that deep i appreciate your love and compassion towards being a professional but we all work and act in different ways in 3D printing or anything tbh
@jasonconstant455Ай бұрын
@@zoomcreationz good point, but you still have not put a link to the models you used in this project in the description of this video, so no one can use your video for anything except a concept. Which is stupid, because you can just put a link to the STL files.
