Racist is more like if they want to cause you harm/violence, or already know that the stereotypes are untrue but purposely shove it in your face in a malicious manner to put you down. Some people are genuinely ignorant because they seldom interact meaningfully with people of other races, so they form stereotypes which are not hostile, so I wouldnt consider that racist.
