1 year ago It’s crazy that me and my best friend is like that. I’ve always surpassed him and ever. He was always second to me. I was always first. I always felt like goku was me and my best friend was always vegeta. Having the same quality’s as these fictional characters. These cartoon sometimes imitates life in so many ways.

I love moments like this, it seems as if there are multiple ways to perceive this scene. To me, it seems to give Vegeta clarity about his obsession of surpassing Goku and allows him to understand it is alright if he is unable to surpass him that it isnt the end of the world. He's always given his best and that is good enough.

I respect Vegeta for putting his pride on the shelf to admit that Goku is better than him, regardless of how difficult it was for him to do so. He now sees Goku as a friend and friendly rival, motivating him to become better.
