Haha! Those videos were all privated until just a couple of days ago. The disaster stories were getting solid views, but they weren’t my favorite types of video to make. But the cryptid and conspiracy theory stories aren’t getting much action, so I am going to start adding in some missing persons mysteries to see how they do, and I thought people who liked that type of content would probably like my older videos more than the new ones, so I reactivated them.

Ohmygosh ! The squished cat !
@LibbyinTexas2 күн бұрын
This is a real thing even in the not so distant past. I actually picked up a cat at the airport that had been used to detect toxic substances or chemicals in war in Iraq. She was not very trusting needless to say. They would put her in a box and stick her out wherever they wanted to go…. If she survived then it was safe. So at some point my friend called and asked if we would be willing to give her a permanent home.

Well thank you! That is very encouraging. My channel has gone through some evolutions over the past few years that I think hurt the growth. For a while I had a travel vlog, then I did disaster videos for a while, and recently transitioned into mysteries and interesting stories. That messes with things, but I’m hoping it’ll pick up some better traction soon. Thank you for subscribing!

Creepy about the smell…always a smell … I do find it so curious how so many people over the span of years have intended to shoot one of these Big Foots but never ever has anyone been able to do that
@VividCrackle5 күн бұрын
The smell is interesting. As I was preparing the stories, I did notice a bit of a pattern with that. It seems like the smell is only really prevalent when it's warmer, which makes me think they probably all smell, but the warmer climate just makes it more prominent. The same as if you put out a rotting piece of fruit in the sun on a hot day, it is going to stink a lot more than a cold piece of rotten fruit will sitting out in the snow.

@@VividCrackle okay, just wondering if u had heard anything on who/where they are nowadays. I hope one day one or both of the kids come forward to recount their story and possibly give additional details (I assume they'd be in their 50's by now).
@VividCrackle10 күн бұрын
For sure. I would love to have the opportunity to talk to them personally. That would be incredible. I think so much of the allure of stories like this is just the fact that there are always so little details. I know sometimes when we get the whole story it becomes so much less credible. I have a video I’m working on right now that is a very famous story where most people never talk about what led up to the “event”, which makes it almost unbelievable once people hear it. So I’m going to be telling that part in the end segment of that one.

While I do believe that there is more to our world (or even our reality) that meets the eye, it is nice to listen to facts that can possibly prove that not all of whatever is talked about is true or over exaggerated. You did pretty awesome research that can either encourage the concept as a genuine piece of evidence or its potential as a hoax/being false. Heck, even then, the answer isn't black/white or one leans more towards the opposing side, depending on the topic. Like the guy who dreamed he was sent to the year 3000-something after falling into a coma. Fever dream or a Time slip? No clue. It has the potential to be either one. I'm not sure if you take suggestions or the like, but have you looked into the Palmyra Wolves of Maine? I already have my own belief that there was at least *something* terrorizing the family, but I'd like your take on it.
@VividCrackle18 күн бұрын
That’s how I feel about most of these stories too. I usually come away from them believing that something definitely happened, but that the urban legend of it all ended up adding more details that weren’t in the original story. And YES, I love suggestions. It’s a lot of work looking for new stories. Ironically, I actually just started working on the Palmyra Wolves story! That one will probably release around the end of October because I do already have a few other videos I’ve already written and am recording and editing right now, but Palmyra is definitely coming soon.

It's one helluva story...and, honestly, I'm not sure whether it could be just a dream or something that did happen. You can never truly know unless you experience it yourself...maybe. I guess that depends on the person. If such a future exists, I'd wager it would be just one of many (maybe infinite) possible futures. Each and every decision we make is important, no matter how small. At least, that's my take on the matter. This could've easily been one incredible dream Paul. Fever dreams are no joke. I had one where I was climbing stairs like the ones from Escher paintings. Also, even in the 21st century, we still aren't sure why we dream. Are we shuffling through the memories we've made, is there something in our subconscious trying to tell us something about ourselves, or are we entering a different reality? It is said that the closest you will ever be to death -- other than, you know, dying -- is sleep. Regardless, it's definitely one beautiful story. I would've love for an actual inspiration/based on this, a movie or tv show, or maybe even a video game.
@VividCrackle29 күн бұрын
For sure. I know I’ve had some pretty insane dreams myself. I once had a dream that this massive tsunami that went up to the clouds was coming to destroy the world. It was one of the most realistic dreams I’ve ever had. If I woke up a year later and the whole world was different, I could have easily thought it happened for real and I had died and was somewhere else!

Seems to be a case of someone starting a rumor or other tale, it becoming shockingly accurate by chance alone, and people inventing tales to backfill how they “knew” the story of something that happened far away. With the sheer volume of rumors/stories and slow travel, it’s honestly unsurprising that a few events in history were “known” before they could have known, just by a prevalent rumor being close enough to actuality
@VividCrackle29 күн бұрын
Yeah, I love the idea of transportation, but the fact that the original story came from rumors about how Mexico could have learned the news so quickly seems more like it was created more as an urban legend-type answer rather than an actual, verifiable story. I don’t know how many boats were coming and going, but it also seems possible (as I thought about it after making this video), that a smaller vessel could have hear the news with just a few people on it, and they could have already spread it before the bigger merchant ships came though. I love the story though!
