I read someone saying that in these old games everything is held together using duct tupe, and this video is a great example of that (of course, the technical limitations of the time and the console are meant to be taken into account) Great findings!

For hijack the truck the blue cars spawn at separate points. Once when you get close to the area and once you drive in like how the trucks and blue car does on stop the truck.

In, Havana. After choosing, "Take a Ride", whenever you spawn, drive straight and at the first intersection where you can cut across the odd circle cemetery thing, you can make it rain if you place Tanner on the "Yellowish" dot and press O on the controller. Worked on the greatest hits release on PSX. Try it out.

You can use F7 to toggle free cam. this doesn't have a distance limit like film director cam does.

Maybe I need to practice a little with the free cam, but a reason of not having used it for this video is having a similar experience as in the original game on console or an emulator.

Game crash can be avoided by turning off the Skeleton Physics option in the game options in the graphics section, which simply turns off the moving parts of the destruction (e.g. vehicle bumpers) in fact, you can also see that while flying, the game physics goes crazy and this crash is caused by the fact that when there is such a cut, the player simply teleports somewhere, it rarely happens that the game does not crash, but there will be a black screen or Game Over

I couldn't find an option called "Skeleton physics", the nearest ones are "Full joint physics" and "Particle effects", and just tested deactivating both, but the crash persists with the replay.

@@gabdriver2 strange, because in my copy of DRIV3R, when you turn off the Full Skeleton Physics option, it turns off the moving parts of the vehicles because it happens because of the moving parts of the vehicles and sometimes when you are flying, you can see that the flight is gaining momentum

Same thing happens if you do this at the end of find the clue or pursue jericho. Also the ped is in a constant spook state since the player and the npc are occupying the same ped.

Just tested getting out of the car at the end of both missions and that glitch didn't happen... maybe because Tanner was already out of the car used to deal the last touch to the last car of Find the clue or to Jericho's car in Pursue Jericho.

It's so cool there are still people out there making old games like Driver 2 even better. It really feels like Jones Rendezvous would make a great addition to the original game, letting Tanner and Jones meet in Chinatown, instead of going to the train together out of nowhere.

You need 3 things: -both discs (or ISO or BIN files of them) of the game Driver 2 - the Redriver2 version, to unzip in a folder, then follow the installing instructions from github.com/OpenDriver2/REDRIVER2/wiki/Installation-instructions -the altmodpack file, originally from the user Black Daddy: @blackdaddy3160 But since their links become disabled (I just checked them), there's one for it (unzip in the redriver2 folder): drive.google.com/file/d/1P3VUAt8x49lfcGSjd790-VhQS2unRw9s/view

If only there's a way to port over the Driver 2 ps1 gameshark codes over to cheat engine, that would be nice because there are codes on the ps1 version that are not on the ReDriver 2 version, especially some fun ones.

The texture size for driver 2’s timer is also shrunk height wise compared to driver 1’s. I don’t know if that plays a role for this.

I found Driver 1 and 2 timers' sizes the same when comparing from snapshots, couldn't notice any difference between them, only that the font for hundredths of second is the same as the in-game menu and indicators, which is in turn the reason why I changed the Redriver2 timer font.
